agreed. I have so much respect for guys that choose to go elsewhere and build programs than guys that join forces to choose Duke or Kentucky though it's a little more understandable for brothers to choose the same school.

It's also their dad's alma mater.
Not surprised at the slightest by this one.

I like the Minnesota Kevin Love comparison the most. Just ridiculously solid and productive while being one of the best outlet passers in the world.

Not sure you take that #1 over a player who has shades of McGrady in Dybantsa.

Cameron Boozer will be making his regular season debut for the Duke Blue Devils against the Texas Longhorns tonight at 8:45 PM Eastern.

The game will be on ESPN.

Most notable names

Blue Devils (very star-studded, ranked #6 in the AP poll)

Cameron Boozer, ranked #3 in class of 2025
Nikolas Khamenia, ranked #16 in class of 2025
Cayden Boozer, ranked #19 in class of 2025
Dame Sarr.

The spread is -9.5 for the Blue Devils, and the moneyline is -475 for them as opposed to +360 for the Longhorns.

This gives an implied probability of 79.2% for the Blue Devils winning, with a 4.3% vigorish.

Not impressed. I thought even before this game that his athleticism and skills looked pretty underwhelming.

I think Dame Sarr is the best NBA prospect on the Duke team this year.

Again I love Boozer at the high school and college level. Just don’t see the fit at the NBA level though.

I might have been high on Sarr before most so I'm a fan but he's not in the same tier as Boozer. I think you have it backwards. He'll struggle to wow in college whereas once in the NBA his versatility will make him a matchup nightmare for teams on offense allowing him to shine and make splash plays. He's probably not ever going to be an elite defensive player but he'll be able to guard 4s very well, switch onto 3s and 5s with few issues. Boozer is going to put up 18-12-4 with 4 stocks despite the college game catered towards guards and centers. He'll quietly go about his business and Duke will win despite Scheyer

He probably won't be a superstar but there's room for him to be an all-star - Julius Randle, Zach Randolph, Boozer's own dad for instance. The odds of Sarr being better than that level, which is likely what Boozer will get to, are miniscule.

But that’s the thing though, if Cam played in the same era as his dad or ZBo I wouldn’t have much hesitation about him. But that’s the thing, the days of the classic PF are over.

When it comes to Randle, I think Cam is more skilled but he doesn’t come close to Randle’s ability/mobility.

How many guys who are 6’9 with below 7’ wingspans and aren’t vertically explosive or agile excelling in the league right now? Again 15 years ago when you had guys like Carlos, ZBo, Love and so on at the 4, I think there would be a clear archetype for Cam in the league. Guys like that have kind of become extinct though.

If Caleb Wilson and Koa Peat continue playing well, idk how Boozer can be ahead those guys. Wilson looks like he can be definitively better tbh

Havent watched Caleb Wilson but Peat looks even less mobile than CB just from their builds

Koa and Boozer look like damn near the same type of player to me. I’m actually surprised that Boozer is listed as bigger than Koa because Koa’s frame looks bigger and he’s more athletic. I think Caleb has the highest ceiling of those 3. Great motor, long, doesn’t rely on strength to get baskets. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up being the best. Boozer works way too hard to get his points imo. How you got them ranked?

Cam Boozer has no business being on the perimeter at all. Buddy can’t dribble, can’t shoot. He’s not top 3 or even top 4 rn. Looks like a role player who will make his name off rebounding but rn his hype is based off his last name rather than actual game. He doesn’t look good this game

I swear people take this guy for granted because of how consistent he is. That's one of the best traits a future pro can have.

I really don't care what he did in highschool. When I watch him now I see a guy who's athleticism and skills are pretty average.
