MPJ for Kuz

Post#1 » by slos » Fri Nov 7, 2025 7:25 am

Simple trade, no picks

Bucks in MPJ

Nets in Kuzma, Harris, Coffey, Jackson

Why Milwaukee? They desperetaly need a wing with size that can shoot 3s, help with boards and play some D. You can't have it all with limited assets, Porter checks the shooting and rebounding boxes. Bucks get out of Kuzma, Bobby returns at backup PF role, Milwaukee keeps 3,746 mil under the tax to fill the empty spots.

KPJ..........Anthony
Rollins.......Green
MPJ..........Trent.........Prince
Giannis......Portis........Thanasis
Turner.......Sims

Why Brooklyn? They cut MPJ's salary to half and free an extra 20 mil in cap space next season. In the meantime Kuzma will be an excellent tank commandor for them.

Kuz salary isn't enough, and Bucks are really short on filler contracts, hard to make a deal.
Defense wins draft lotteries!
Fortune favours the bold, so it ducked Nico Harrison.

The trade proposed is legal. I know it’s sometimes complicated making 4 for 1 deals, but this one is easy. Nets can waive their two NG deals (Martin and Wilson) and complete this trade as it is. There also min contracts involved, which makes it easy to add a third team if needed.

I'm not sure, accumulating vet mins is illegal, Coffee is vet min, and Nets will need to cut 3 players.

Doesn't really make sense for the Nets unless they are desperate to shred salary and roster spots.

Think they would rather prefer trading MPJ for future draft picks, and Kuzma would like take playing time away from a couple of their rookies/young players whom they are trying to develop.

Why is Brooklyn just handing Milwaukee a free upgrade

I like Brooklyn clearing all that money next offseason, don’t think they are owed a good asset despite the obvious talent win. Probably owed some seconds? They need to max their cap space next summer.

If some team is willing to take more of MPJ’s contract, then Brooklyn should do that..

But I don’t think you’re allowed to stack vet mins anymore so don’t think the OP is legal. IIRC Morey ruined that?

The Nets don't have enough expendable players to clear all those roster spots and I have MPJ as having more value than this.

Because MIL has no assets to add.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.
