Lets not make a martyr. I wasn't specifically involved but to act like the mods are out to get people is wild. Once attacks are made to a mod personally (and we don't get paid to do this) that is where it ends.

this was my assumption of what happened

but the truth is i'm not really sure that a personal beef with a mod should be what gets someone banned. i personally don't operate that way. i don't disrespect people unless they do it to me first but if you take this "job" you probably need to be able to just take it and shrug it off as hard as they might be. because it shouldn't really about you, it should be about if they're disrupting the forum or not.

While I typically would agree. I think it's fair to assume it wasn't just a personal beef. If you get chance after chance after chance after chance. And while it may be not have been disruptive to you reports piled up over the years especially recently.

After a while we can only got to bat for people for so long. Some people don't want to be saved. I don't think we ask much and you should know we typically have a soft spot for long term members of the community.

i don't know everything that happened, that's completely fair. but i do know some people talk wild to the mods. and it's only natural to feel like i'm gonna suspend him if he talks to me like that again but i feel like you probably just have to take that sh*t.

It's unfortunate though. Like it's safe to say some members get way too long of a leash just because they have been here for a while. So there is a good chance he got way more chances the he should of.

Like we all screw up and say dumb **** and let the emotions get the best of us. Most people though have some self awareness of what they did take accountability and move on. The persistence of this situation just continued to fester. Again it's super unfortunate.

Man, this is where I land.

I fck with the mods on a personal level but gd I've never grown out of disliking authority. Its actually gotten worse. And its damn near impossible for me to take it on good word without transparency. And if im being real I fall in line with what sham is saying in here.

That's the thing, it seems like this ban must be based on PM's because I never saw anything disruptive in his public posts. Not that I saw them all of course. Just seems unfortunate

losing the plot a bit here. it's not about "a PM." or "based on PMs." you're also looking for a singular event.

in some cases, it's years and years (decades?) of progressive behaviors and actions. in such a scenario a PM could have been the most recent event, but it wouldn't be "the reason."

characterizing this ban as a reaction to a PM would be inaccurate. once again, we are not that petty. there is a large group of voices and checks and balances that go into these decisions. large.

just like it's a gross oversimplification to try to pinpoint a single incident, it is a gross mischaracterization that any one mod ever bans anyone. bans come from the administration level after a review process. anyone who has ever been banned went through that. that's how we assure it's not done on whims and why it can take a while.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

Felton with the perspective of being with the Knicks the first time around, and then coming back to the Knicks the 2nd time around

Felton would have loved to add Melo to the 2011 team without having to make the trade

or at least had they not traded for Chauncey (who played a more half-court game) and kept Felton, Felton would have made it work with Melo and A'mare that year

We need a third team that is under the salary cap to do the trade and I cannot find one

Also, Deuce would have to be in the trade to make the numbers work.
