Ya, he's been declining every single year since 2022. His % of shots near the rim have gone way down as has his 3pt%. He's on track to be out of the league in a few years despite some people thinking he's still a star.

I'd say 4. Evaluating him right now is probably a little unfair, because he's in a system which isn't maximizing him the way he wants, though he is being pouty about it. But he's an inefficient volume scorer who isn't a strong defender and has a lot of availability issues. He's a guy who wants to be a volume scorer and isn't a good choice for that role.

I would say there is no such thing as tier 4 stars. At that point you are just a starter/6th man with some positive impact. There's tier 1 who are mvp caliber(roughly top 5-7 in the league). Tier 2 who are all nba caliber(top 15) & tier 3 who are all star caliber(top 30-35). Tier 4 is just good role player territory. For reference Ja was last an all star in 2023 and likely will not be this season either.
