Dont see Miami moving Herro unless they feel they can upgrade the talent.

Yeah after holding out all these years there’s no way they don’t trade him for a better player as opposed to an asset I’d say.

The guy is shooting 38% from the field right now and 14% from 3. Fg% should creep up eventually but he’s never been much of a 3 point shooter anyway. Unless he comes dirt cheap its an easy pass from me.

Yes to Zion, no to Ja. Zion to me can be salvaged with our culture and would probably come cheaper, Ja first off his problems are more mental than physical, and second when it does come to physical he's a small guard and small guards like that who rely on athleticism have terrible shelf lives, look at how badly AI aged.

I liked Morant the previous years but he does not seem in a good condition right now.
He seems to have lost atheticism and he shoots 15% 3pt.
His shooting form is bad and misses badly from 3.
I dont know if he is better than Herro right now.

Personally I would kept Herro and use him for a superstar trade (Giannis?) if it would be possible.
A cheaper addition for pg/sg position would be Malik Monk.

But Morant could elevate his game again, so I am not sure

Yep, that's what I was saying. The folks with agendas want Herro out by any means, even if it makes no sense. We are supposed to go 3 years back to evaluate Ja with favor, but can't look at Herro from a year ago to evaluate him with any favor whatsoever.

Even if we are to go back 3 years for Ja, as you said, he is not a good shooter on a team that needs them. Ideally, if we can get Ja, it will be at a dirt cheap offer where we can pair him with Herro and Bam, not switch them out. Give up picks, put Jovic, and even Ware on the table. But keep that core. Even if you consider Ja a much better player individually than Herro, what he generates would only be marginally better if you just switch them. Doesn't get you any closer to a championship contender.

Or, if the FO is actually wanting to get rid of Herro to get out of paying him like many are suggesting, it has to be to also bring in someone else with Ja. But just creating Memphis from 3 years ago in the East with a more athletic but smaller JJJ in Bam doesn't make sense.

Is anyone actively pushing the Heat to trade Herro for Ja on the last few pages? I think everyone is just discussing an idea that was brought up by a media guy. I mean, he’s easily better but I realize this is the Heat/Herro forum. Good thing for everyone is that if Herro is enough to get Ja that likely means we have the assets to get him without including Herro as well. There could be several avenues to getting him. Using this years stats to knock him lacks context, he’s clearly not engaged at all

Obviously it means nothing but geez, every media member and former player is pushing the Ja to Miami narrative.

Fuxk Boston, Paul Pierce, and KG tho while we’re at it.

If there is no decent offer for Morant due to his antic's, I bet a Rozier, Fontechino and Keshad could get him. Grizz would do well with 3 expirings.

I don’t think Morant makes sense without Herro. They’d be a nice pair together, but separately I don’t think we improve enough.
