Its 170 career attempts. Not a ton, but almost twice what he took in any single season of college.

FR: 16/46, 35%
SO: 21/72, 29%
JR: 39/109, 36%
SR: 44/100, 44%

Also, if you're a big that can't play any defense, your offense has to be near All-Star level to be rotation worthy. You can't "hide" bigs on defense.

He shot the 3 well in college, but I was thinking about G League where he shot 44%.

You're cherry picking years.

He shot well 1 year out of 4 in college. It was his last year, so that's good. But pretty small sample.

For the GLeague, you're throwing out his first year - and, by far, his biggest sample.

2021-22: 21 Games. 33% on 109 Attempts.
2022-23: 15 Games. 47% on 68 Attempts.
2023-24: 3 Games. 33% on 18 Attempts.

I wasn't trying to cherry pick. I think 36% and 35% are pretty good also so to me he shot well in 3 of 4 college years. When I looked up his G league stats I only found his 22-23 ones. Klomp had mentioned the 3 game season and I combined the 2 seasons for 44%. I don't know why his 21-22 didn't show up if you have that right.

It was with Detroit's G League team, not with Iowa.

35/36 in college is just OK with the shorter arc. And when its on low volume, its not particularly promising for translating to the NBA.

Josh Okogie shot 38% both his years.

I'm of the belief that 31% from 3 is going to rise. Time will tell if I'm correct.

I always liked Luka Garza. He works so hard all the time, on and off the court. Unfortunately, he simply wasn’t blessed with nba athleticism, and will always be too slow to defend nba players.

I am happy he found another nba team so he can live his dream, but I don’t think MIN lost anything by letting him move on.

Its entirely possible.

I mean it is an improvement from the 28% he shot each of the past 2 seasons.

He's an offensive version of Mark Madsen.

Good for WMJ. Turns out when you get him out of the NBA he might be okay. Then again we took him over Nembhard.
