They would've absolutely ruin my Friday night if we lost to this team lol

This Hawks team is legit defensively though. They fought hard tonight.

They're kinda like the Raptors two years ago: the entire team is long lanky forwards with no proper pg or c

They do have Porzingis. But yeah, they do remind me of those Raptors. They work so hard defensively and then they're completely gassed by 4th quarter.

Philly game might be a bit of a write off (still could win) but after that lots of winnable games to end the month. We got 2 games against the Nets/Hornets/Pacers and a game against the Wizards. Could realistically be 12-9 at the start of Decemeber. And i dont think the Knicks/Cavs/Sixers games are unwinable either. Gonna be interesting if we can win some of the tougher games. Could put us ahead of the 8 ball for a top 6 seed.

Just need to win our Cup games and get to Vegas to bring a title home

I wonder if we’d hang a banner

Considering the marching orders from the league to the players + media to take this "event" seriously Silver might force them too lmfao

Props to this Trae Young-less Hawks team, they played hard from begining to end and played tremendous defense. Without Trae they are ridiculously long at every position. However they don't have a lot of offense without Trae, that's why i knew if the Raptors took the lead the game would be over. Good for the Raps for matching the Hawks intensity in the second half to get the win.

Once this road trip is done, send Walter to 905.

Battle 100% needs to have his minutes instead

feel like that was def a game they get blown out in last season but kudos to them for keeping in it and just grinding it out in the 4th. hope battle continually gets more rotation mins. he's a plus player wheneer he gets run.

the key for this team will be the defense.....that'll determine how successful they are, especially in the playoffs....without defense you're just wasting everyone's time.

Imagine having a defense that gives up 120 OPP PPG, even if you have a miraculous run to the finals you'll run into OKC and get cooked because they're the complete package.

First 5 games 128 OPP PPG - 1-4 record
Last 4 games 101 OPP PPG - 4-0 record

Not with that 1st half.

That's precisely what makes this win impressive.

Yeah its really nice to pull out a win where everyone was playing poorly the first half. If you want to win lots of games you have to win some ugly games

The entire roster is still learning how to win. This will be a big confidence builder knowing they can win ugly too and not just when shots are dropping.

Props to Mamu for being tbe teams best player in the 1st half to help keep them close.

Poeltl + RJ played great in the 2nd half and this was IQs best game of the year.

Mamu really held down the fort while everyone was struggling. Gradey was huge as well with some key buckets. Then, the starters got it together and closed it out. Total team effort in that 4th quarter where everyone contributed.

defense has been better but ppg is a bit tricky b/c the bigger change is pace

last 4 games (not including tonight) had us 28th in pace at 98.88

the first 5 games, our paces was 7th at 105.50

so we made a concerted effort to slow the game down and it's helped our defense big time.

That was pretty fun. Love to see the clear belief that they were gonna win even when down 15 against a team that wasn't gonna let up on D.

More impressed with this win then the ones where we shot the lights out from 3.

And pretty sure Trae is a net negative tbh.

The Facebook troll are so predictable...

"max contract *face Palm*" "Difficult to watch Barnes play :noway: "

**** When did this fanbase gain so many village idiots? Was it just being a playoff team for a decade?

We just need the Bulls to come back down to earth.

Bro Vucevic and Giddey playing outta their minds. Buzelis lookin very nice too. This is all without Coby White too btw.

Didn’t see this coming from them

Gotta love Ingram quietly with another 20/6/4 night. No emotion, no showboating. Love him.

Yeah at some point the first rounder trump card should be trashed for Walter, Battle is outplaying him in every aspect of the game. I used to think Battle couldn't defend but he's proving me wrong so far. He should just be ahead of Walter period.

Glad we stopped that useless pressure defense lmao felt like we were giving bad offensive teams (mainly the Mavs) easy shots by breaking the press when theyd have a tougher time scoring executing against our half court defense.

Great 4th quarter rally to end it. Enjoyed this one.

4-game win streak. Did we even win 4 straight once last season?
