Mikal

Kat!!!!!!!!!!!

We’ll not blow this out of proportion and agree to disagree, but I just don’t like that brand of basketball.

Bottom line, I’m glad our guys will pass the ball and make a conscious effort looking for very good shots. I enjoy that and I’m convinced that along with defense, this is what winning basketball is about. A lot has changed for the better in terms of ball movement and basketball IQ when we brought in OG, Bridges and Towns, so no Ja Moron near this team.

You're right, we don't want/need that kind of player to mess up our chemistry. What you posted here was certainly validated by how we played last night, just a few hours after you wrote this.

Man, I just wish Tre Murphy wasn't so well paid now and the Pelicans did something really dumb and traded him to the Knicks.

Then again, it would cost Mitch and Deuce (for starters), so maybe not.

28 million per. There's not really a trade

I would’ve been fine trading KAT for him n Herb last week, but it looks like KAT snapped out of it, bought in, and is cool with the coach… Clarkson, who I was out on, appears to have done a 180 from early on too. I’m good with this roster for the year unless some moves on the margins present themselves… like a vet for Dadiet or Kolek, cuz there’s really nothing out there for us due to our cap/player contracts situation.

New Orleans would be the perfect 3rd team partner in any Giannis trade. They have the young players that Milwaukee would desire. KAT can go to New Orleans to team up with Zion, Giannis to NY, and multiple young players from New Orleans to Milwaukee.

Accoding to Wiretap,

"Zion Williamson's Trade Value Lowest It's Been"

Great news - if we trade for Zion, he and Yabusele can form our Sumo wrestling team.

Hart + Dadiet + Kolek gets you real close to Murphy. It would take Murphy asking out and it would take Dumars wanting a win-now piece that played there before (Hart) to help get them closer to the play-in territory since they gave away their lotto picks  Gotta take advantage of Dumars while you can.

Turning Hart into Murphy improves your 3pt shooting, playmaking, and defense which is exactly what you need to do with guys like KAT on the roster.

Hometown dude would be a fan favorite day 1.. his hustle n energy combined with Hart off the bench would be wild. Huge insurance policy too in the event Jalen is out for some time. Hope Leon is all over this..

I love Trey’s game, but it’d be hard to part with Hart honestly… if he keeps playing like this n hitting 3’s, he’d be way too valuable to us… plus as a fan fav and heart of the team.. along with the rebounding, passing, and pressure he puts on the defense attacking the rim… it sounds crazy, but I’d pass. The chemistry he’s got with our guys n relationship with Jalen n Mikal too… just too much to sacrifice.

THIS is the trade that could actually happen and needs to happen.

And I like Kolek a lot, and Dadiet represents some of the only wing height after OG/Mikal. It would only be Diawara.

But if Knicks think Dink or McCullar could backfill Dadiet (even though a little shorter) maybe it happens.

He wouldn't play that much but it would be the kind of serious depth a chip team needs.

Agree on trading Hart.

In Hamerstam there was a post about getting Donte back and realistically I think the only pieces that come close $ wise are Mitch or Hart.
And same reasoning, both players are too important to what the Knicks need from them. Assuming the Wolves would just trade Donte to the Knicks. Just from only the Knick side of the trade they give up as much that's important to get Donte back.

And trading Deuce (somehow) for Donte isn't the answer. The move is to ADD Donte to a team that has Deuce, but Knicks lack the contracts they can spare to make it happen (again magically assumption Wolves just comply and send him back to NYC)

Zion sucks

Wiretap thing says JJJ could become available if grizzlies rebuild he’s a CAA guy we should target JJJ great fit with towns

Dream pairing

Article from June but nothing has changed

It’s happening

Since hiring Leon Rose in 2020, the Knicks' front office has utilized its relationships often for the team's benefit. One example was hiring Jackson Jr.'s father, Jaren Jackson Sr., as an assistant coach for the Westchester G-League affiliate in 2021. From that January to May 2023, the elder Jackson served on Derrick Alston and Rose-favorite DeSagna Diop's staff.

Jackson Jr. is a former Creative Artists Agency client of Rose. The University of the Incarnate Word added Jackson Sr. to their men's basketball staff in 2023, ending his Knicks tenure

Jackson Jr. remains with CAA under agent Austin Brown. The 2023 Defensive Player of the Year has one year remaining of his four-year, $104.7 million contract.

The Knicks' front office has become infamous for its confident approaches to recruiting. It's unlikely that the franchise expected Jackson Jr. to demand a trade because of their sideline addition in Westchester. But sources familiar with the situation tell ClutchPoints that at least one key member of the Knicks' front office has long been interested in Jackson Jr. as a trade target.

The Knicks' acquisition of Karl-Anthony Towns last offseason didn't nullify this interest, either. League sources say that a Jackson Jr. and Karl-Anthony Towns frontcourt would be a ‘dream' pairing for New York in their starting lineup”
