Is there anyone left on this board hoping for wins?

We have our pick this year - I'm team tank early.

Problem is, they'll win just enough games. AD comes back soon and they still have relatively easy schedule ahead. And when Kyrie is back, they'll have enough wins to fight for playoffs probably.

I don't think so ... The start was very easy and we are dead last in the west.

Street clothes will play 4/5 games before next injury because Kidd thinks that he can play 40 minutes a game.

Irving after 9/12 months is not the same player. He can help but he can't change the team.

I always hope for wins. It’s pretty clear though that this season is a disaster. For everyone that wants Nico gone though this is the best start possible.

So if Nico is eventually fired this season who is the best person to replace him with? The owners have said themselves they don’t know squat about basketball. Should they turn to Dirk to find the new GM?

Excellent question. These are the things we should be kicking around.

Dirk would be amazing. Ditto with Nash. I would say Fin because he's done the time in the FO, but he lost me when he took the beer out of Luka's hand, making him a "fat, lazy Luka" disciple of Nico. I'd like to get back to the international focus we had with Donnie and Nellie.

Presti has done a clinic on what franchises should build. Off the top of my head, everyone but Hartenstein is drafted or traded for. Who is his top lieutenant?

He's right, though. Of all the stupid things Cuban did, he never would have let Nico trade Luka. Now, I do question his honesty here. If he thought it necessary to have a say in transactions as a minority owner, he should have made that happen.

Agreed about Fin. He's a non-starter.

I think Nash got a raw deal in BRK. I see him in the Kerr mold. I'd put his BBall IQ at par with the greats.

So, as a Mavs homer, I'd love Dirk at GM (surrounded by the best talent currently in a non-Mavs FO) and Nash as HC. Both have such a sense of calm and knowledge.

IMO, Masai went from stud championship GM to the guy that squandered all those resources.

I like Malone. Players seem to really like him. You can't be a hard ass in today's NBA and he gets that. He got a raw deal in DEN.

IMO, Masai went from stud championship GM to the guy that squandered all those resources.

I like Malone. Players seem to really like him. You can't be a hard ass in today's NBA and he gets that. He got a raw deal in DEN.

Masai made some mistakes,but who hasn't...he has a good relationship with Giannis...maybe he can persuade him to come to Dallas...AD, two first rounders and two swaps for The Freak
