Hopefully this improves all 3.
Grizzlies send Morant JJJ
Grizzlies receive AD Thompson 3 FRPs
Grizzlies add 2 aging players but get an all-star to later flip, plus the 3 FRPs.
Magic send Suggs FRP (tbd)
Magic received Morant
Magic get a position of need with shooters supporting his shooting (lack of).
Mavericks send AD Thompson 2 FRPs (29)
Mavericks receiver JJJ Suggs
Mavs give up AD who waiting on his next injury and 2 FRPs for younger players to play with Flag.
Going to cost the Mavs to get off Thompson and AD is getting old - he may not be around past another short extension.

Re: Grizzlies Magic Mavericks
I have Suggs as worth more than Morant, and I'm not all that high on Suggs, but the difference in salaries seals it for me. Drop the first and add Isaac, who is only guaranteed at $8M if he misses 22 games, and the value is closer even if the concept is flawed.
I'm not sure that I agree that Dallas gets cut out as I have AD and two firsts as worth far more than either Suggs or Morant even with Klay attached.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Re: Grizzlies Magic Mavericks
Seems pointless to go after AD at the same time of trading our two best players. If we want AD it is to add him Ja/JJJ. Flip AD for value from a 3rd team now and then it can be evaluated correctly for Memphis.
Not really interest in Suggs in Memphis but if he can be rerouted for value then that portion of the trade could have legs.

The AD portion is for JJJ.

Re: Grizzlies Magic Mavericks
AD would be flipped after this so I understand the OP.
But I think Memphis is better off cutting out Dallas anyways. JJJ value + Suggs value is more than AD + Dallas’ two firsts so Memphis should be able to do better.. Maybe I’m just a sad Dallas fan and that’s not correct though?
Would Dallas really want to trade their 2031 first here? I guess they still tank after this move to max their long term core? They’d be in terrible pick debt but Lively, JJJ, PJ, Flagg, Suggs, and Kyrie with the 2026 pick hopefully developing does seem like a fun group to cheer for through the first few years..
Think Memphis can keep JJJ. Tank this season and see how lucky they get in the lottery though.

I missed the JJJ part. That doesn't make any sense. AD should go to a team like Bulls who can provide two firsts instead of asking the Magic for one.
