With how Dallas has looked, I’d hope the 2031 first is only available for a true star.. But trading the LAL first for Jrue would be a nice finish to the Luka trade..

I am the one posting Dallas tank ideas so not interested if it costs any asset..

But even taking away my bias.. I can’t see Jrue being worth a distant unprotected first at 35 years old. And Christie’s inclusion feels overkill.

Before Jrue was traded for Simons, there were plenty of Gafford/Klay/seconds posts here. A lot by me, but some others..

I only bring up the LAL first as a nice way to finish Nico’s time in Dallas. Would love Jrue in Dallas and it likely would save this season, but would cost any real chance of retooling around Flagg..

I feel like a couple weeks ago I would have wanted 3 firsts for AD in this model.. one being the Minn first?… But I’m kind of leaning towards only two firsts sadly.

And I don’t think Miami wants Demar. They already have a good offense and Herro hasn’t played yet.

I think by 2027-2028, Dallas can be borderline respectable and not care about giving OKC a pick in the teens if they commit to a tank this season. Especially since they don’t own the 2027 pick. Will be building a roster around Cooper/whoever next year.. just to blow it up and tank in Cooper’s third year?

And I can’t see OKC wanting to tie themselves to AD’s contract honestly. Despite the potential of him helping them have an even more historic year this season - that’s an unrealistic amount of salary next year..

Never watched much, but he is also probably not a high enough calibar guy

Marshall isn't a good defender, he's not bad, but he isn't someone you put on POA and expect to navigate screens and close.out.
You need athletes next to Luka and Reaves, that's why I'm not high on this iteration on the Lakers.

I don’t know what a 35 year old Jrue is actually worth. I dont think it’s a lot. Before he was a Blazer, I only was suggesting Gaff/Klay/seconds or. Naji/stacked salaries instead of Gaff if it can work... I don’t think anything should have changed.

Nico probably is willing to pay more than I am because he might be trying to get this team to look less tragic.
