Celtics were leading by 1 point when Mynot made that bad pass with 5:49 left.

Queta could've made it a 2-point game if he made that open layup with 4:25 left.
What's worse is Queta committed a take foul.
Bane made the FT and the Orlando lead was 5 points.
It was game over after that because Orlando scored again on another 3 and the lead grew to 8 points with 4:11 remaining.

Those 2 blunders by Mynot and Queta swung the momentum in favor of the Magic.

After these blunders Joe remained with the starting 5 which played horrible defense
The lineup with Walsh and Hugo did damage
4 minutes down 5 is an open game
Allowing open 3s and And1s with horrible defense cost us the game

You're not wrong but like I keep saying, the only reason why Joe has job security is because the players have his back.

There's a hierarchy when it comes to coaching in the NBA.

It would cause controversy if Joe didn't go back with the starters to finish the game.

Hugo and Walsh did damage, so it was up to the starters to get the job done.
They failed.

NBA coaching is not just about X's and O's and game management.
There's politics involved.

Just ask Taylor Jenkins.

The loss puts us into the top 10 in lottery odds, baby!

Sucks they folded at the end, but other than that a good effort lol.
I love what I’m seeing from Walsh. Glad Joe is finally putting him in early in the rotation. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Brad will select someone no one expects. Probably a guard with 5 years of college experience
This is why I don't want him to have a lottery pick (unless it is a top 3)

Celtics were on pace to get the #7 or #8 pick in the 2015 Draft.

After trading for IT, the Celts went on to have one of the best records after All-Star break.

Cs went from top 10 lottery pick to picking Rozier with the #16 pick.

Great tank game. We were in it with a chance to win until the end. Some of the young guys played well. Simons was terrible. Finally got going with his shot but gave everything back on the defensive end and then some. He kept blowing coverages and putting us in rotation not to mention all the dumb fouls. I know we need his trade value to rise but I would rather give his minutes to the youngins.

Yup, Walsh showing some nice flashes.

I'm sure he knows how important this season is for his career. He even acknowledged that in an interview the other day..saying how he knows he's playing for his life haha.

He's definitely gonna play hard when he's out there.

I'm not sure why people get down on him, he's 21 years old and was the 38th pick 2 years ago. There's no timeline where patience wasn't going to be needed but he has the potential to be a good rotational player and a really good defender. Hopefully this is the year where the work starts to show.

It's just that regardless of how old he is, it's his 3rd season. And what we have sene in recent years is NBA teams have been showing less patience with young players - especially players who are 2nd round picks or UDFA. Often times they only give them a year or 2 and if they're not at a certain level, they trade or waive them.

We've seen it with lots of guys over these past few years. Even 1st round picks like Keon Johnson, Kobe Bufkin, Cam Whitmore, Usman Garuba, Tyty Washington, etc. got either traded or waived before their 3rd season was over..

This was a nice timely loss. Keeps us in the top 8-12 in the draft.

Brown was really good. He had 32 and 9 rebounds and his 1st dunk of the season. His hamstring had still been an issue. That dunk was a good sign.

Pritchard with a season high 27 points to go with 4 assists and 5-8 from 3!!! He was really good. Best game of the young season for him.

White had a good game with 16 points, 10 assists and 3 steals. We are still waiting on his 3 point shot to return.

Minott played well with 12 and 8 in only 25 minutes.

Walsh with his 2nd good back to back games. Nice to see.

Hauser was bad. Simons was ok.

I would like for Hugo to go to Maine for about a month or two to get some reps. This is a kid that didn't play from his team much last season and he isn't playing much now. He needs the reps.

Solid coaching coach by Joe. I liked that when Simons was struggling, he took him out and limited his minutes and went with Walsh, who gave us more size, defense and energy.

Right now, we are a small team. Simons is a rental for the season. Replacing him with a 6-10 to 6-11 big that can play both ends and play both PF and center will help this team in a big way. I think that's the plan for Brad this season at the deadline or in the offseason when he has little more money to spend.

Same. Love what Walsh is doing out there
&
Shout out Neemi as well. Queta at career highs in defensive rebounding % and block % ... and I loved (even though Coach didn't love) his side line jumphook and post turnaround, that's great stuff that anti-Hardenizes the offense, and i love the diversity in the shot diet.

I am very much impressed with Queta this year, him Minott and now Walsh are making this season interesting!

I think Minott and Hugo have been big for Walsh. They’re competition for minuets, but also an example of how to get them. I think he’s had to ratchet up his intensity even more to compete. He was my guy in the draft when we picked him, but I didn’t think he went as full out as he needed to with every chance he got the first 2 years. Not that he didn’t play hard, but he wasn’t Josh/Hugo level.

I like all 3 of them now as options to bring that energy and D. Hopefully Walsh and Hugo cam show a little more in O like Josh has, I think they both have hit an 3 or attack a close out abilities.

Way too early for this. I would see where the team is record wise around the 25th game. But at the same time, the losses don't hurt as much because it gives us a chance at a top 6-14 prospect in a fairly deep draft.

Well it's not like we were heavy favorites coming into the season and therefore a ton of confidence that we'll rise up the standings by game 25.

These were the predicted win totals according to vegas odds which were published right before season started.

We were picked to have 14th worst record..or 14th pick in draft. Before last night's game we were 13th best lottery odds..after last night's loss we got to 10th highest lottery odds. So that 10-15 range seems about right..

Given the roster we have, i don't see why we should expect that we'll make some wild rise up the standings over the next 15 games.
