Loss or not, I am still feeling Optimistic about watching Boston. Not for Wins and Loses but for the "Promise" of watching our young talented Group get better almost every game. _Minott-Queta, mainly and Hugo and Walsh with their encouraging play despite small sample sizes.

I agree, the wins haven't been there yet but with what we've seen from Hugo, Minott and even Walsh I'm actually encouraged. If those guys can make a positive impact this year at just 19, 22 and 21 years of age then it bodes very well for what they could give you next year with a healthy Tatum.

Also: Pritchard has looked up to the task of being a starter, Queta looks like a solid back-up big and Brown has looked healthy and incredible. There have been promising signs.

Even Scheierman, might have a chance to make a mark, though -- that might in Monaco, lol

Queta, Minott, Walsh have really been interesting

Unfortunately, for Rico, there is just not enough time. We barely can get Hugo minutes and lately walsh.. One reason why I have said and will continue to say you cannot keep drafting the same position because then no one gets a real chance to develop. Makes it even crazy of considering how badly we needed a big man two years in a row.

What do you need him to do Better before you would consider him a pretty good starting center? I'm still at the belief, He has all the abilities to do so. Just needs more seasoning.

Agreed. Queta is doing pretty well, as a Starter.
Only an All-Star would be better.

Queta is playing well as a starter.

The problem with Queta is he just lacks experience.
He's making mistakes that a young Rob Williams was making early in his career.

It's just a matter of time.
Queta will eventually get it.

Hopefully with more playing time Queta learns faster.

I think that he's doing good. Has 2 x Double-Doubles in 10 Starts, and brought the Fouls down.

Amari Williams is doing well himself, in the G League.
Might wanna bring him up, to cover. He can't do worse than Garza.

Yeah, Queta can score, rebound, and even block shots.

He just needs to learn from his mistakes.

Aside from Queta bigs as we know it are basically extinct in Joe's rotations. Garza playing less than 10 min, Tillman barely playing, and Boucher is getting DNPs already? Otherwise between the 96 PF/C minutes you have maybe ~35 being played by prototypical PF/C bigs and the rest by guys who are more like SG / SF size

If we lose this, I probably will start to jump on the pro tank bandwagon.

I would much rather us end up with a juicy top 10 lotto pick than fluke our way into the play in and somehow get bounced out there or in the first round.

I don’t blame Brad or the Owners for the exodus last off season, its definitely the extremely illogical and team success crippling luxury tax/apron strings CBA.

I just want Jaylen Brown to continue balling and push again for All Star honours.

I have no issue with Joe and his rotations early btw, at the very least we have found a gem in Hugo Gonzales. I like Jordan Walsh getting more minutes too. Sam Hauser and Payton Pritchard have lost their mojo/shooting hand, we need them to heat up again ASAP.

Hoping for a repeat of Fridays game. Play hard, play young guys as much as possible and lose at the end...

This team is going nowhere even with Tatum, we need a high pick...

It will be difficult to get out of tax completely though, Simons with his play and contract is really difficult to move...

So it appears. Too bad. But hitting on 1-2 with the Garza/Minott pickups isn't bad.

I just remembered how annoying a couple (not all) of Orlando fans were during our first round series last season on the general board thread.

Hope we wax them for that reason lol

Yes I am a bit petty. Hopefully the Patriots get the win over Buccaneers in the NFL too, to make it a great day for Beantown sports in Florida.

True
But you need to let the young play
Queta and Minott are starters now so they don't count (although every minute of experience counts)
I would like to see more Walsh, Hugo and Baylor minutes. Even Amari as a backup C
Cut Hauser and Simons minutes (I know we need to trade him but he is what he is right now, can score with expiring contract). Maybe even cut White or PP minutes if they play bad. No one should play more than 28-30 minutes
Let the kids play!
