It's definitely a very weird way to say he's winding down rehab and is getting ready to go.

It almost sounds like he had a setback, as if that would be surprising.

Still early days but really I did not expect much from this team at the start of the season and to be honest for the most part I like what I have seen.

I'd rather have this Embiid now as opposing to him falling off a cliff in the middle of the season or as the playoffs approach. And the Embiid meltdown is great in this respect. Now Nurse or the front office do not have to convince him he is not the player he used to be. The proof is there for everyone to see even in someone that is in denial. Now that Embiid and Nurse know his limitations you can plan around them.

McCain and PG have yet to play a game (what McCain did the other night was not playing basketball).

VJ has been a pleasant surprise. For once the bad news has been presented at the start of the season. If this team can avoid major injuries, it's going to be several steps in the right direction.

Also Morey and Nurse need to get Maxey in a room to find out if he has any other friends that are NBA players because I like what I see out of Watford.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)

My 2025 Draft Order choice.

It'll be a fantastic party the day Paul George is no longer a Sixer.

I’m starting to wonder if Kelly’s shooting is for real. He’s putting up nearly 20 a game on close to 50-40-80 splits, hitting 2.6 threes compared to just 1.2 last season, all while playing solid defense with a steal and a block per game.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

It'll be interesting how the rotation shakes out when fully healthy. Watford earned himself consistent playing time. We need to reduce Maxey's minutes. Feels like Embiid should cap out at 28mpg during the RS. I'll assume the same for George when he returns.

Maxey(34)/McCain(14)
Edgecombe(32)/Grimes(16)
George(20)/Oubre(22)/Grimes(6)
Watford(28)/Barlow(12)/George(8)
Embiid(28)/Drummond(Bona)(20)

Maxey - 34mpg
Edgecombe - 32mpg
Embiid - 28mpg
George - 28mpg
Watford - 28mpg
Grimes - 22mpg
Oubre - 22mpg
Drummond or Bona- 20mpg
McCain - 14mpg
Barlow - 12mpg

A 10-man rotation feels like a lot, but that's how teams are getting it done these days. Eventually shortens to 8-9 in the playoffs.

Unless we get that DRTG down to at least 15th we're going nowhere lol

Still, a PG, Watford/Oubre, VJ, Embiid, Maxey unit should be pretty solid defensively

Yea I'm hoping it tightens up as the season progresses, and with the additions of PG + Barlow.

League average is all we need if our offense stays top-3.

Its a miracle we're even talking about this team going anywhere after the discourse this offseason. This team has a lot of talent right now, but they still need to establish their identity. Maxey is obviously the centerpiece, but its still not quite clear how the supporting cast fits in.

For example, if Maxey is neutralized, who's their second option? How will PG fit? Can Watford and/or Barlow be answers at the 4? Embiid has been trending in the right direction, will his D continue improving? What will be their lineups?

Losses suck, but its exciting seeing the team evolve, the young core develop, and watching them figure this out. Hopefully, they keep being talked about as a team with expectations.

How the roster minutes and their roles play out remains to be seen, but I hope that They continue to run offense almost the way that they have in the entire season. Maxey for instance yesterday didn't take a ton of shots in the fourth quarter... They defended him pretty well and VJ took advantage of favorable 1 on 1 matchups. Joel got active as well plus guys ticket advantage of closeouts after the defenses were shifted. I think even Joelle did a great job of being more of a finisher than someone that they just ran offense through though and when they did run offense through him he got off the ball quickly if a double came with simple passes. It's not so dependent on him getting it back to score the way it used to be and Maxey gets shots, but it's clearly willing and able of working hard off ball and helping by setting screens or decoying.

But the second option is clearly Joel as he's getting a shot a minute

A few games back we saw Kelly and Quintin failing to take advantage in key moments of their one-on-one matchups.... I like them playing that way if they have favorable matchups. I don't think they did have favorable matchups though
