It was a bad look from our angle, but I will give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Everything I have heard about & seen from him siggests he is a good guy.

He was in his feelings & made a mistake. I don't think he knew he hit the guy in the face. If the did know, he was probably emrarrassed/ self conscious about it.

I'll give him a pass. It wasn't that big a deal as far as athlete behaviour goes.

You guys would gave hated having Rodman or Metta on the team.

Edit: I fully believed he apologized to the guy after. Like I said.....benefit of the doubt.

Guys like Dick, Quickley, and Sandro having to defend the paint with small sgs out there isn't gonna help.

I think one of the consequences of our D that we aren’t talking about is that when Ingram, RJ, or IQ give up free paths to the rim it results in lots of fouls and forces unexpected rotations which makes it hard to rebound or close out on shooters. It’s a problem.

Everyone was a pylon out there this game, especially Ochai and Walter who were out there only for their D. Those mins especially the Walter ones were the biggest issue in the game.

While Walter was horrible, Ingram getting embarrassed by Watford wasn’t helpful either. And I can live with the bad D, it’s the missed box outs and lack of hustle on 50/50 balls that really frustrates me.

We just have to hope he gets better at these things because trading him is unlikely and his importance to the half court offense can't be overstated.

Agreed. Last night, despite my frustrations, I think he just looked like he had no legs. Even his shots seemed more off balance than usual. Just didn’t have it.

Haha I love CMB. I just think the team would benefit from having another 6’10 and above true big. And JV can shoot it a bit, post up, boxes out, and sets good screens. I’ve always liked him.

I think Ingram grabs a decent share of contested rebounds relative to the rest of the team. He does play big under the basket, too (and it's something I wish Scottie did more of this year). BI doesn't box out, and he does nap on D. Darko plays him longer than any other starter, which I view as a mistake from a conditioning perspective. Basically Scottie, and then I think IQ come out and come back in to beat up the other team's bench with fresh legs. Ingram stays out there and either finds some buckets or doesn't, but you can see him get progressively lazier during the end of these stretches.

Last night Watford was just driving into the paint whenever he had BI or RJ on him. They just gave us nothing on that end. I don't mind letting a Watford beat us, but we also didn't stop Maxey or Embiid. We basically gave them every option they wanted, and so when it came to crunch time they had the full hand to play with. If Poeltl is gonna skip out on all these B2Bs then a roster move has to be made sooner than later.

It’s extremely difficult to acquire a player of his calibre.

It arguing that, just like for a time we needed Demar.

Once you are a serious team though, Ingram gotta go. Hes not elite enough offensively to make up for his defence.

I didn’t say give him away, I just hope he’s the main piece in a consolation trade if one ever were to arise

I absolutely agree with you. Ingram’s defence is so bad that he can’t start on a contender. He’s just too much of a liability there. And we can argue that we can coach him into better habits but ultimately he’s just slow.

Three weeks ago we were told with absolute conviction that BI had already dethroned Scottie as our team's best player, despite not having played a single regular season game for us. Now, we're talking about a consolidation trade for Ingram. Gotta love this fanbase (not talking about you, HiJiNX).

Which is also probably why Darko is still playing our young guys that are struggling, we likely will need them at some point with Ingram's extensive injury history. RJ's missed some a decent amount of games the last 2 seasons too.

Then theres the whole Dick/Walter/Ochai playing ahead of Battle. Other than that, it was a good performance from everyone else.

Yeah. I feel bad for Battle. The guy shows up time and time again to prove that he is the best 3 point shooter on the team. Hard worker. Great size.

At this point it's almost disrespect.

He'll eventually move on because he was never taken seriously here & he will go on to help a contender win a ship as a useful bench shooter. I can totally see that happening.

You guys sure have your favourites haha. All this commotion over Battle.

A lot of overreaction in here over a schedule loss. We fought well and weren’t at full strength. They’re always a tough matchup for us anyway and were playing some bully ball that they won’t always get away with.

But yeah, when Poeltl is out, it’s rough. You have to have a guy that can rebound and defend the rim in today’s NBA, even if all the other guys are long. CMB has looked great but this was kinda the vision behind taking Maluach. Without Poeltl, our center spot has been a disaster since Gasol.

On to the next though. This is gonna be a fun season, it’s obvious we’re talented and one of the bench guys (GD, Walter, Battle) are going to step up at some point.

Yeah, it wouldn't have been as big of an issue if we didn't let everyone else go off too. Oubre and Grimes also were effective too. We didn't really stop anyone other than maybe Edgecombe but even he got going in the 4th quarter.

Valanciunas would help us a ton.

Another name I'd absolutely love (and have wanted for a while) is Isaiah Jackson of the Pacers.

Point being... WE DESPERATELY NEED A CENTER.

I see one guy even mentioned Demar who’s been gone for 6 years haha. The only con about BI is that he refuses to play off the ball anything else is nonsense when you consider what he provides offensively.
