Predict the Next 10 Games

Post#1 » by Troubadour » Sun Nov 9, 2025 4:27 pm

Here's the schedule:
@ Brooklyn
@ Cleveland (Cavs on second night of a back to back, travelling from Miami)
@ Indiana
vs Charlotte
@ Philadelphia
vs Washington
vs Brooklyn
vs Cleveland (Cavs on second night of a back to back, travelling from Cleveland; Raptors on 2nd night of a back to back, no travel)
vs Indiana
@ Charlotte (Hornets on second night of a back to back, no travel)

This might be the easiest stretch of the season. Only three games against teams over .500 and the Raptors have a rest/travel advantage in two of those games.

A realistic expectation is: W, L, W, W, L, W, W, W, W, L. Anything less than 7-3 in this stretch would be a disappointment to me.

7-3 should be the expectation but we might get lucky with the Cavs resting Garland/Hunter on the back 2 backs so we could really go on a run here.

It'll be 5-5. It'll be due to the C issue we've always had

If I'm being super negative, Cleveland and Philadelphia are probably just better than the Raptors. That's three losses there.

You would then look for teams with a lot of size, big wings and/or shifty guards. Charlotte and Indiana fit that description, so you could maybe imagine going 2-2 against those two teams. If that's the result, that would be incredibly disappointing. Schedule could not have been easier to start this season.

We've actually had one of the hardest schedules to start the season (i.e., first 10 games). But now it gets a looooooot easier. We need to capitalize!

If we lose to Charlotte and Indiana because of their size, Bobby needs to be held accountable for not acquiring a center.

Who do CHA and IND have size wise we gotta worry about?

Maybe by SOS, but I look at the circumstances (no Mitchell, Garland, Allen against Cleveland; no Trae Young against Atlanta; no Ja Morant against Memphis; Milwaukee on a road b2b) and think the difficulty has been overstated.

Cleveland, Charlotte and Philly. Allen and Mobley will be a problem for us even if we're full strength. Charlotte and Mark Williams can be an issue if he's healthy and heavily played. Then Phila with Embiid and I guess Warford now.

We need another 7 footer to back up Poeltl. I feel like father time came early for him and these back issues are here to stay. If we're tactical and play him 20 mins a game instead of sitting out some nights maybe we'll do better.

I also think this hinges on whether CMB can be a stretch 5 for us and can find a way to rebound. I don't feel like he's being used enough by Darko.

Darko has also been an underwhelming coach. He's wins when he should be focused on losing and vice versa. The main thing he needs to stop doing is playing Dick and Agbaji. They can develop in practice.

Also going with 7-3. Most of these teams suck.

Fair, but we've also played the most road games this season. That matters a lot as well.

I see that he was recently traded. They have a weak front court so it's definitely winnable.

Teams like the Bulls and Pistons have been huge benefactors of their easy schedule to start. Now it's our turn to handle business and move up the standings

We aren't gonna win all of the ones we should and we aren't gonna lose all the tough ones either. I could certainly see a team like Charlotte dropping 145 on our defense in one of the matchups.

6 or 7 wins.
