Giannis wasn't trying to guard him, he was gambling for a steal

He took what the defense gave him and capitalized big time. What a blunder on Milwaukee's part. Giannis let him linger too long and then gambled, why? Turner got cooked on a basic post spin, damn

Props to alpy, dude is a bonafide playmaker and ballhandler for being a 5.

Lol!

What actually happened:

Sengun asked Udoka to personally guard Giannis

Guarded him to a missed jumper

Giannis having now missed 2 FT's and missed the jumper decides to personally guard Sengun to get the ball back, thinking he's going for a sneaky steal

Sengun evades the full court defense and steal attempt, drives to the paint, spins around their second DPOY calibre big and finishes the clutch basket

Giannis has the athleticism advantage but Sengun's bball IQ is just too high. He toasted him.

Btw since y'all are here,

Sengun is shooting 37% on 3's (3.4 attempts per game)

Averaging 7.4 assists per game from the C position

Going to the line 8+ times a game

23 points on 17 shots overall

Playing superstar basketball right now.

Giannis looked like me when I played NBA 2K in the past and was trailing in the end. I would spam the steal button in desperation

Giannis underestimated baby Jokic's handles and gambled for a steal.

Sengun is HIM

Got Giannis saying I wish I was 7 foot and could just jog around spinning and doing layups.

I commented on this before, but Giannis' reputation as a defender is overstated. He's a great defender due to his athletic ability, but as a one-on-one type not so much.

You can say this about his entire game, not just his Defense.

If he was 6 foot instead of 7 foot. Hed be the guy in the Westbrook jersey playing too hard and pissing people off at the local pickup games.
