If Wolves could turn Randle into Nembhard, all Wolves fans should be willing to drive Randle to Indiana personally. I would!

Wolves could do that in a heartbeat if they're stupid enough to do it. No way would Indiana pass on Randle for Nembhard. About right would be Nembhard, Toppin, and 2 FRPs.

Unless I'm missing something, why would Indiana want Randall when they have Siakam?

lol Indy wouldn’t want Randle directly nor is Randle worth 2x 1sts more than Nembhard. Way off here KGdaBom.

Nembhard is a good player. No more and no less. Randle is an all star while playing at this level. At this level he's All NBA.

Some on this board overate Nembhard, he is a player that is just really helped by the Pacers excellent coaching and their system.
Wolves should be going after a young pg that has real star potential that just needs to be put in better position to succeed and win with a backcourt partner like Ant.

I really want Connelly to take advantage of some of the really dumb GMs in the league right now. Obviously Ant is off the table as well as Jaden, Julius and Rudy as they are too important for winning and for the playoffs. While Joan, Rocco and Jaylen have too much potential.

That leaves Naz , DDV, TJ, Rob, Conley, Miller what can wolves get for them?

If I were to trade somebody Naz is the first to go unless that would upset ANT and make him leave. We are starting to see the GOOD DDV recently and I'd hate to part with him. I couldn't believe that put back dunk he had last night. My jaw dropped. With ANT and Ju facilitating and Jaden abusing defenders our need for a facilitating PG keeps getting less and less important.

Anthony Black trade is closer with every ORL game.

His value has kind of cratered this season, which is good for the wolves perhaps? Bane and Tyus have been flat out horrible for Orlando.

As long as Jaden stays, Ant will be happy IMO.

Naz and Rob for Derozen, Westbrook and 2026 kings frp
Wolves add two expiring vets for the bench plus lotto balls for a chance at DarrynPeterson or Cameron Boozer.
Kings take the sure thing (Naz) because they have ptsd from drafting high in lotto.

DDV and TJ for Black and Da Silva.

pick up slowmo when he gets bought out?

Conley/Westbrook/Black
Ant/Clark
Mcdaniels/Derozen
Randle/Da Silva
Gobert/Slowmo/Beringer

1. Naz is in Ant’s prime window, you don’t dump him for expirings, especially when they are older and losing the salary means you cannot preserve the salary slot. We would have no means of back filling them next year.

2. DDV and TJ is too much for Black and Da Silva. TJ has 3 more years on the rookie scale, and DDV is a great value contract. Black if he develops will need too much money and Da Silva is not worth losing the year on TSJ.

3. DDR has never come off the bench. This would be a major headache in the locker room.

With every passing game, I see less likelihood of a shake-up. I think there has to be a high, high confidence in the return to pull the trigger. Otherwise, I could see them standing pat or maybe just placating a young guy by sending them somewhere for a better playing opportunity.

I have kept my eyes on Walker Kessler for a long time. I still would not rule out making a play for him, even though he is out for the season. It would muddy things somewhat for next year, but I still think it'd be a smart play to get his RFA rights.

TJ has 2 more years. Donte’s value contract only has 1 more year.

What are the chances that Joan becomes as good or better than Kessler?

I didn't know it was illegal to have two good centers. Trading for Kessler does not mean the Timberwolves would be giving up on Beringer.

Jon Kraczinski claims that we have been in contact with Memphis regarding Ja.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have had issues at the point guard position this season. That has the Wolves looking for potential options to take some playmaking pressure off Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle. One of those options could be Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Minnesota has checked in with Memphis on Morant's availability, according to The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski.

"They're testing the waters a little bit. I don't get the sense that there's anything real close," Krawczynski said on SiriusXM NBA Radio. "I do think that, if we get to late December and the Wolves are still treading water and that point guard position still has not solidified...I do think that they could explore at least looking harder at Ja Morant."

Trading for Morant could be challenging for Minnesota, as the Timberwolves are well above the luxury tax and first apron. That means that the Wolves are limited to sending out less salary, or matching dollar for dollar, in a trade.

If we were to trade for him what would we offer. Ju and Jaden are playing far too well for that and Naz wouldn't get it done.

You read into my post something I never said or thought. I was simply asking the question I posted.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
