Give him another 20 games....I'm not saying he'll figure it out, but he may.

He's just too small.

I'd rather Brad trades him for Grayson Allen and Nick Richards.

That way the Cs get a veteran SG, a decent Center, and save money as well.

swap him into the starting lineup then you'll see his true value, no way PP should be starting over him right now. PP and White has not worked out well....

Agree with you about Simons starting.

But White and Simons will be soft on defense.

If your PG is Cade or SGA, you can get away with Simons as your starting SG.

It's just not a good fit.

A bigger SG like Grayson would be more ideal, especially in the playoffs.

Could it be that I was wrong about Walsh? He played very well last night, not just the shot but rebounding and defense.

Walsh capable of defending PFs like Banchero is what will make Walsh a rotation player in the NBA.

It looks like he has what it takes. He has alway been a good defender and rebounder…just hasn’t gotten his shot to have some continuity until now.
I never left the Walsh Wagon. Glad to see him being successful as a solid two way guy.
He is still 21 yo so there is a lot of possibility and potential.
I was getting worried that he wouldn’t get a chance and end up the next Nesmith.
I’m so glad Joe is giving him real minutes.

Speaking of Banchero, he gets star treatment from the officials but his game is not star level, except for his free throw shooting. The best two players on that team are Franz Wagner and Suggs.

Leading up to this season, there were quite a few people here who felt that Walsh was not worthy of a seat on the far end of the Celtics' bench. He was regularly slammed, featured in trade suggestions, and basically disrespected. I felt then that they were wrong, and that they were precipitous in their evaluation of Walsh's worth. Walsh is only 21 years old, coming into his third season with the Celtics. Yes, he was very raw to begin with, but I thought he was beginning to show signs that he could be a contributor. With Tatum out, and the departure of Jrue, KP, Kornet, and Al, minutes are now available for the development of our young players. It is gratifying to see that Jordan Walsh is stepping up, making his claim on more playing time. On Friday he played 19 minutes, had 6 rebounds, a steal, and a block, finishing with a +7 rating. Last night, he played 26 minutes, had 6 points, 4 assists, 2 steals, finishing with a +13 rating. In both games he brought energy, played tough defense, and his effort was recognized, and rewarded with extended minutes.

As for the VC, I voted to award the cigar to Mr. D. White. Always hustling, and never giving up on a play.

Brad Stevens before the season started stated the Celtics will not be tanking, don't know why people are upset about it now. Celtics told you what they were doing.

Then Jaylen, Derrick and Jordan with the late dagger 3's!

What a world you guys!

Fun game, great win!

Sixers Tuesday on Peacock, Go C's!

Walsh needs his own option imo

Yeah, agreed.

It's tough when we're playing 11 guys and I only have 9 options to work with.

I guess I could have put Hugo with Hauser or Queta instead of Walsh and given Walsh his own option, but at the time that seemed weirder to me than putting Walsh and Hugo together. Shrug.

Sorry Jordan!

I mean how many championships did the Sixers win since they started the process. How many finals did they make?

Not to mention Charlotte, Brooklyn, New Orleans, Washington etc. who tank every year.

exactly, tanking is a losing mentality and guarantees NADA

That was the most fun game of the year!

Two negatives though:
JB with 1 assist and 4 turnovers, this is concerning. He's got to look for his teammates more. These two games in ORL JB was -21 & -17.

Queta, I am really liking what he's doing this year, but why is he so winded and out of breath always? Did he suffer lung damage from covid? Does he smoke cigarettes? Heavy marijuana use? Is he out of shape? He can't catch his breath out there, why is that?

JB could be capped out as a distributor. I don't think he has another level there. PP and White, IMO, are the keys to getting the offense to spray the ball.

Queta, in his defense, REALLY is asked to move around quite a bit with the defensive and playmaking shortcomings of this roster.

Dang the Magic board is very grumpy about that loss. Lots of comments about how much better they'd be with Mazzulla coaching instead of Mosley.

Did anyone notice in the 9:49 left in the second q, after another Anferno 3, how Joe and another assistance just barked on Hugo in the time out?
I wonder what happened there or is it just their way of praising his high energy play?

I did and wondered the same. Drew & Scal mentioned it as well, but had no more insight than us.

The two triple, white and Walsh, has been built on JB playes. Yes, those were not assists but DW and JS are open because of JB.

We won banner 18 in large part because of Tatum and Brown. Both were top 3 picks.

The only way you get a top 3 pick is by getting lucky in the lottery and the only way you can have lottery luck is by either:

a) Being bad enough to avoid the playoffs
b) Making a trade that gets you a top 3 pick..like how we got lucky by trading KG and Pierce for what turned out to be 2 top 3 picks which turned out to be Tatum and Brown

We also went 25-57 in 13-14 season, which allowed us to have a top 6 pick, draft Marcus Smart, who we flipped for KP, which helped get us banner 18.

We also used a lottery pick to draft Nesmith who we traded for Brogdon who we traded for Jrue which helped us get banner 18. We used a lottery pick to draft Langford who we traded for Derrick White who helped us win banner 18.

Thunder tanked for a couple years, then won the title in 2025. Warriors tanked when Klay and Steph got hurt, then they won the 2022 title. They also won all 4 of their titles thanks to Steph, who they drafted in the top 10 because they were bad enough to get a top 10 pick and draft him..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)
