Clearly the number one question in the interviews will be "how would you change up the roster".
IMO, a move for Jrue would set the table as to what this roster can do with a real two-way PG. He's been a key component on 2 championship teams and fits the Kyrie/AD timeline. Jrue / Coop / PJ / AD / Gaff starting lineup could compete at a high level without completely doing a rebuild.
Long term and keeping with Kyrie, Dyson Daniels would be perfect. With Trey out he's showing off his distribution skills. Obviously his defense would be be amazing and size fits ideally with Kyrie.
If Kyrie and AD being jettison'd, You're looking at a complete rebuild.
Who would y'all see as corner pieces in a complete rebuild? For me, it's just Coop and PJ. I think they could anchor a championship frontcourt.

Coop and whoever is drafted with the 2006 pick, hopefully, a foundational piece, PJ Lively and Christie as core guys ideally.
But going with our Battier idea, it would be awesome if he can convince his former Grizz team to take AD/B-Will for Coward/a pick or 2 and we'll take on KCP/Clarke/Konchar. Probably unlikely Grizz give up Coward, but the type of trade the new GM should make.

If so do they trade AD, and Kyrie?
What teams would be interested and what are realistic trade values for each player. Bob and 41Dirk have said before that they feel the Mavs have zero trade assets and that. I one would ever trade for Kyrie or AD. I tend to disagree with those two about that. What’s your opinion?
It's a mess, AD value is low, I personally wouldn't trade for this headache is I was the other team, Kyrie is also a big headache, remeber how the Mavs were able to get him on the cheap.
I'd swing for the fences if I was the new guy, I'd trade for a legitimate scorer on depressed value, Zach Lavine for example, I also would pull the trigger on Morant trade if the price is right.
I wanted Jrue or.LeBron in the offseason, but that ship has sailed.
Agree.
No hurry to make trade, this team is done for next 3/4 years (despite big lineups lover or position less basketball is the way).
Find a GM who can sell high players. Even next off season.
Masai or Lindsey are best options but i trust in Welts, he was hired to shake the FO. I told you guys.
After the departure of Harrison our second target is a top pick in the draft.
Just trying to clarify, when you say this team is 3-4 years away do you mean from contending (or at least a deep playoff run) or 3-4 years away from getting the talent to contend? I’m asking because the team can acquire young talent that is good enough just not ready to contend. Think Rockets 2 years ago. Good young team. It not ready to contend.

See I’m of the opinion that if you are going to fire Nico you’re starting over with a full rebuild. They already have their #1 option in Cooper
Flagg. Build the team from there.
With that said there is absolutely no reason to go after Jrue. Why waist the resources on an old player? They should be looking to dump all of the older players. Sell as high as you can on AD, Kyrie, and Klay. I would also move Gafford.
Start with a core of Coop, Max, Nembhard, and Lively. Everyone else is up for a trade. I could even be talked into trading Lively is the price is right. Obtain as many draft picks as possible. If you can pick up a young player in a trade to add to the young core then great.

Realistically what teams would have an interest in AD, Kyrie, or any of the older players (including Gafford)?
Detroit is better than most thought they would be. Would they have an interest in Gafford? Seems like Gafford would be a perfect lob threat for Cade. Does anyone think they would be open to Gafford/Martin to Detroit for Tobias Harris (expiring contract) and a 1st?

Deep PO run, at least WCF. Win a title is so hard for us. We know.
Next year targets are draft a top pick and sell high street clothes & Kyrie... Then wait 3 years and pray that our kids are specials for real.
It's hard in the Doncic and Wemba conference of course. Very hard.
But Wemba will always have injury problems cause his size and Doncic maybe will eat too much burgers.

Winning wouldn’t be fun if it wasn’t hard.

Stein: Portable stairs are rolled in every game via the tunnel between both benches and adjacent to the new seat location that enable Harrison to exit at any point without having to walk through sections of the crowd.
Be fired will not save him... You will never be able to return to the state of Texas. Moron.

He will likely have to go back to selling shoes. No way any team would ever hire him again as a GM.

Absolutely! I honestly don’t think Finley should get his chance to be GM either because he was clearly part of the Luka trade. Don’t forget he agreed with the “Luka is fat and therefore will never win a title” crowd.

After Nico and Kidd are fired, I would be ok as a former Mavs fan to see Dirk or Finley or Nash taking over this mess.
Not saying those three are the right people to turn this organization around, in fact they probably don't have enough experience. BUT at least given their charisma, they can at least win back all the alienated fans and re-establish trust with the whole fanbase.

I can't stand Finley since he took Luka's western conference championship beer. That was the beginning of the downfall

Yea I just read that. I honestly they get whoever the best option is at GM. Don’t settle on Finley.
