An overreaction and appeasing their annoying fanbase.

Trading Luka was the right move, maybe not for AD, but the right move nonetheless.

You don't trade top 5 players, you lose them for nothing and the Mavs were never in jeopardy of losing Luka.

Who would have thought trading a top 5 player with a good case of being the best player in the nba fresh off a title run would be a bad idea.

No it wasn't. And even if it was (it's not) his process was completely moronic. So either way he should be fired for that alone.

Trading an MVP candidate who was the best player on a Finals team in his mid 20's is just stupid on it's face. Trading him because you didn't like his attitude, diet, etc. is just some bs.

Do your job! Motivate him. Hire a nutritionist, sports therapist, life coach, etc. Do what you need to do. You don't give up on a talent like that just because he's a bit immature in how he approaches his job in his 20's. Especially since nothing points to him being a criminal or a bad teammate or anything like that.

CJ with 40 pts himself for the Wiz...

Cade took 45 shots to score 44 points...he's the whole damn reason why these guys are locked in OT against some tanking Wizards squad

Well in the 4th, he got 3-4 baskets and had a few key defensive possessions in the clutch just like in the 4th vs Sixers yesterday.

Cool. That's not superstar stuff. That's just chucking.

i would guess they trade anthony davis and daniel gafford next. they have their pick this year and they look bad. no need to try to make the the play-in and fail.

The Slovenian James Harden, he’ll never win a championship. I’m not giving a super max to somebody who has a bad work ethic. Look at what the Pacers and Thunder did, they have the right way of building a team.

Luka is a great individual talent, not sure if he’s the guy who can deliver a franchise a championship.

A healthy Kyrie and AD would be better than the Lakers this season, imo. They have a more balanced squad.

Hardens problem is that he couldn't score efficiently in the halfcourt during the playoffs, Luka has already proven he can do that. You don't trade 25 year old top 5 players, there's just no excuse for what they did. They could have put incentives in his contract to keep his weight in check, instead they destroyed their short term outlook. Even with Flagg, he's so young that they won't be good anytime in the near future.

It was a tragedy. We lost 19 of our best guys

He’s pretending to be injured because he doesn’t want to be there. Can’t wait to add the nba champion, nba cup winner, gold medalist, and ncaa champion!

Can't believe they fired Nico before seeing his vision unfold. If only kyrie wasnt injured and ad didnt miss every 3rd game and flagg wasnt prone to stupid plays at the end of games and klay wasnt washed. If only... guess he'll never get to see his masterpiece.

Not surprising though most visionaries are ridiculed in their time.

If I find out that I'm going to be fired at 11am, you better believe I'm not coming in. Just cut the checks and leave me alone.

Paying a 35yr old AD60+ m 27/28 to miss 2/3rd of the year sounds like a brilliant plan. Sign me up.

Just as long as we keep KAT so him and AD can both bìtch about playing C.

The most asinine part of the process was only talking to the lakers about him. Could have canvassed the league an gotten a million picks and some young up and coming players. Instead they got a guy that’s nicknamed street clothes cuz he’s out so much. They even acknowledge that this move shortened their title window. How does it make sense to shorten your title window? So even the argument for the affirmative side of the trade is actually bad too.
