you know how I know Battles smart? Because he knew exactly what Scottie was looking to do with the quick unexpected pass and he went right away

Not playing battle is like refusing to play Boucher because he was winning us games

The defence this year has been horrible. Nets shooting 66%.

It's like clock work, starters suck at the beginning and the bench comes in and mount the comeback.

Bench always brings the effort. Starters always come out flat

I don’t because it makes one area (defence) slightly better while making a new issue (perimeter shooting).
The most logical is RJ for Agbaji for a 3+d look, or if you really wanna get crazy go Battle to rain down open 3’s (but not really fixing the D)
Shead at least is playing well while IQ has been mediocre. Telling RJ to go to the bench for a guy averaging less than 3 ppg and shooting 8% from 3 is a harder sell.
I mean these guys are not stupid, RJ knows it isn’t a “we think [insert player] is better than you” all it is is “we just need to redistribute our minutes and shots”.
Shead has been better in his role than IQ has been in his, but let’s not act like he’s better by any means
Now, if Shead is truly a 45% shooter from 3 we can talk

i feel like the starters always just want to get themselves going instead of playing how they should be at the beginning, bench plays like a unit.

Barnes as a C is probably his best possible outcome if he could work on the little things being a good C requires.
Not full time, but he needs to be more Draymond to unlock his full potential
