I acknowledged that he had a top 5 CYA season, but to show that it's sustainable, it would be helpful to have literally at least ONE other full season where the results were anywhere near as good as they were this year.
Pretty convenient to ignore the walks and the amount of those .191 BA hits that are HRs when citing those stats.

He had 210 and 200 strikeouts the previous two years. He was arguably better than he was in 2025 but the BABIP was 30+ points higher.

Well deserved! Pretty much as expected in a landslide but can’t omit that some voter didn’t even have him top 3.

Yelich 12th in MVP points is pretty surprising. That's gotta be a nod to the team success, but then again that doesn't explain why he's ahead of Turang (14th), which strikes me as bonkers. HRs and RBIs forever, lol.

If Brice had another platinum glove type season in the field he's probably 2nd or 3rd in voting.

Not nearly enough. How the hell did he finish behind Webb? Truthfully, he should've been ahead of Yamamoto too.

Passan:
Freddy Peralta, RHP, Milwaukee: If Brandon Woodruff accepts a qualifying offer, it drastically increases the chances of a Peralta trade. If Woodruff hits free agency, Peralta almost certainly will stay.

Re: Brewers News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
As was discussed a bit on the Bucks board there is a bill going through the legislature (Assembly votes tomorrow on it) to allow remote sports betting (currently have to bet onsite at one of the tribal casinos). There are different groups and people fighting for and against it but I find it interesting that the Brewers are pushing for the bill to pass. The Bucks and Packers have taken no position on it. The Brewers haven't said anything publicly but behind the scenes they are working to get the votes needed.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Weird. Rather run it back with both if he accepts. I don’t think he will.

Re: Brewers News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
I have no idea what he's going to do. I could see him trying to get as many years and as much money as he can with his injury history. I could also see him accepting the QO, making his $20+ million this year and going back to free agency next year with no QO attached.

I'm fine with whatever he decides. Part of me would be happy to see him continue his career here, part of me thinks it's time to move on and the pick would be nice to have.

Re: Brewers News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
I had a feeling he was going to accept. Hard to get that big AAV multi-year deal when you've pitched like 60 innings in the last two years and missed the playoffs with another injury.
