Bulls could offer this-would Dallas bite?

Collins/PWill/Noa/JCarter (cut)/Port pick/Bulls' 2026 unprotected 1st/2028 1st with some protection

Dallas saves $ this year (and more with lux tax) and tons of future cap. They add a good prospect in Noa, who might fit well in between Lively/Flagg long term to make an awesome defensive front line. They add 3 picks too

Bulls roll the dice and manage AD to hope he's healthy for the playoffs. It's a gamble, but could have a big payoff

Too much to give up for the bulls . I'm hesitant to trade noa just by himself for ad .

I agree.
Keep Noa Essengue and ignore AD.
AD is a setback at this point.

"AD is moved, Kyrie stays"

-- I think AD to the Wolves would be a good fit, Randle package to Dallas. AntMan, McDaniels, AD, and Gobert + Reid off the bench, is pretty incredible combo of size, agility, and offense.. strong chance to be in the WCF again.

-- AD to the Clippers (with a third team, package centered around John Collins, DJJ, other pieces from LAC)..

I personally would probably not trade for AD for LAC, because he's at the end of his prime, but has still been very good when healthy (elite defensively), but still fairly injury prone (as has been seen since going to Dallas). If it happened for LAC, obviously its in the similar mindset as Dallas where its in the short term to use lightning in a bottle for a couple years.

AD, Zubac, and Kawhi when healthy is still one heck of a front court on both ends .. makes them better than they are right now, but probably still out before the WCF.

This would also risk to mess up the 2027 plan LAC has, since AD would likely pick up his player option after the 2026-2027 season.

Get Davis healthy for 10 games & trade him to to team w/the best chance @ top lottery lick in 2026. Kyrie to Houston for Shephard & Gaffard & Hardy to Lakers for Reeves

I am very skeptical of AD but I think he is a natural fit next to someone like Victor. They would be an insane defensive pairing

Kyrie is harder to gauge because we don't know how he's going to look returning from injury. Wolves desperately need an upgrade at PG, Houston could use him also but I believe they are hard capped.

Olynyk is expiring. The Spurs are doing the Mavericks a favor by taking on AD’s salary. If they want draft picks then they can seek life elsewhere.
Yeah, like someone here said the new CBA makes it very risky to pay that kind of money to an injury prone, past his tume star

but the Spurs can load manage AD in the rs and a healthy AD is still a top 10 player in the playoffs, for that you give up a few picks, a young player and exprings and don't even think twice about it. Mavs screwed themselves and have zero leverage. AD isn't getting traded for a superstar package...Spurs will say: "thank u very much"

I say take it and run

I don't want the Spurs anywhere NEAR Anthony Davis. He is not dependable - you can't count on him to be on the court.

The last think I want to do is tie Wemby's career to Anthony FLIPPING Davis. Plus, why should we help Dallas build a good team by giving them young players and/or picks? They dug this hole, we aren't going to give them a way out of it.

Also, no effing way I want to trade Castle. He is showing he can be a long-term running mate with Wemby.
These are the opinions of one lifelong Spurs fan, nothing more

Spelling aside, none of these are remotely plausible. Lakers are not trading Reaves for Gafford. Sheppard is a stop gap pg for the already injured FVV - Houston doesn't trade him for another injured pg. And no bottom 5 team (looking to build through draft) is trading for a 32 year old AD.

Kyrie to Houston makes sense if they can wait.

AD to Warriors.

League rumblings appear to be getting started on Anthony Davis.. still just talk, though.

League executives and scouts believe the organization should explore trading the 32-year-old big as Dallas pivots to build around rookie Cooper Flagg following the dismissal of Nico Harrison.

Davis remains a dominant two-way player when healthy, though durability concerns cloud his trade value. Multiple league sources insist gauging the market represents necessary due diligence as Dallas' championship window appears to have closed.

"You don't go two timelines anymore," a West executive said. "You say, 'We're going to take what we can get [for Davis].' At this point, I'm not sure what they can get."

Davis has a player option for the 2027-28 season worth $62.8 million that his extension would be built off. Any team trading for Davis would certainly be doing so with the expectation of agreeing to an extension with him in the 2026 offseason.

The franchise must balance immediate competitiveness against long-term roster construction. Owner Patrick Dumont's approach to a potential rebuild remains unclear as the organization enters a transitional period.

Zach Lowe of The Ringer reported that rival teams are already having internal discussions on the trade value of Davis.

Probably will always be looming till the trade deadline is over.

AD on the Spurs would be scary and could work. AD as casted as a number 2 is the perfect role for him as he's one of the most elite number 2s.

AD for KAT.

Think he'd be a #3 at this point behind Vic and Fox and he would probably thrive in that role since he would only need to play good D and wouldn't need to score 25+ ppg every night. But he is just too damn injury prone to spend real assets on unfortunately

We're 8-2 with French Vanilla. No way are we picking up AD and his $60M (!) for maybe half a season of availability. It's redundant to consider it with Wemby here.

I like the Spurs chasing AD.
I'm not sure what to make of Kyrie. He's out with an ACL. He's 33. He's on the books for 2 seasons after this but the contract could be worse (42m player option in 2028 at age 35). If he was ready to go this season, I could see Houston chasing him, though I'm not sure what the KD/Kyrie relationship is like after Brooklyn.

I'm not sure how many teams actually have assets to trade for these guys.
I wouldn't count out GSW anymore even with a huge payroll. Imagine losing KD to free agency then managing to convince him for a sign and trade to to acquire DLo. Then trade DLo for Wiggins. Andrew then becomes Scottie Pippen int the playoffs to win it all.
Then flips Wiggins into a freaking Jimmy Butler WITHOUT giving up 2+ FRPs and adding Podz and Kuminga to the trade. :banghead:
You put AD next to Butler, Steph and Green and you might just win it all.
