Nurk tossing Jackson around like a rag doll. Get that kid a sandwich.

How does Presti do it?

I'm a Nuggets fan and we owe then first rounders for trades I can't even remember

I honestly believe his best attribute is that he's patient. Also as maligned as he is (for legit reasons), Clay Bennett is a great owner who doesn't micromanage at all.

Presti realized his mistake by helping the Mavericks get Gafford and Lively and rectified it with Hartenstein and Caruso. He also values cap space during a rebuild to take advantage of teams who hand out bad contracts.

That Derrick Favors trade by the Jazz all those years ago is still affecting Utah. They can't even try to win because the pick would convey. That is another thing that has hurt their tank. To be bad 70% of the year, then hand Presti another late lotto pick.

No one has been better at capitalizing on other teams' miscalculations and impatience. A masterclass in session nearly every time he makes a trade.

I thought that he and I would end up with the same number of rebounds and field goals tonight, but he got one of each in the last few minutes.

And it's truly because he has ownership's full trust. How many GM's would be able to have 3 MVP's come through in a decade, have all of them leave and still retain their job?

The fact that he was never in danger of losing his job is incredible. He would have been ran out of New York for example if he didn't win a chip with KD, Harden and Westbrook.

Now he's a HOF and probably a Thunder lifer.

Despite my loathing of Clay Bennett, I've really come to love this iteration of his team.

And? They're 11-1 with a +14 net rating, despite dealing with all sorts of injuries.

This is the most talented team in the league and it's not close

Saying that the team that took them to 7 last year and has a +13 net rating is not close is just plain false

My Nuggets have a chance, we have the Joker, but we are not on OKC's level in terms of overall talent.

Our defense in particular is a bit fugazi at this point (see: this game). We've faced a couple of good teams without their offensive stars, and that has inflated our defensive rating by quite a bit. I think our defense will trend towards average as the season goes on, and the Thunder will separate themselves from the rest of the West.

It's still incredibly early, but if Collier continues to shoot as well as he has so far — solid from 2, not dreadful from 3 — that's a big win for the Jazz.

It was an unwanted win, but a fun one to watch. 8-)

Sabonis needs to stay in bounds so he can rebound. Running out of bounds behind the basket shows a low IQ for the game.

Was it even a mistake at this point? OKC got Cason Wallace and a swap with Dallas for their 2028 pick. It cost OKC a series sure(he could have made other moves to get the backup 5 they needed) , but in a vacuum... OKC won those deals now i'd say

They added the new heave rule and now Jokic is shooting 80% this year (i'm only slightly exaggerating)
