IQ
CMB
Ingram
Scottie
Mamu

Would like to see this lineup out there, they don’t have to start but I’d like to see some extended data on that lineup.

Shot distribution was disgusting. Trade RJ while his value is somewhat decent.

I wonder how long it'll take for people to see how good Scottie actally is.

A True #1 doesn't have to be a lead scorer on nightly basis.

Yes they do. This isn’t the 60’s and 80’s anymore lol.

Scottie is our most impactful player but that doesn’t make him a true #1. We’ve only had one in our franchise’s existence. Most franchises aren’t even lucky to even cheer for a team with a true #1.

I find more and more this board succumbs to the No True Scotsman fallacy. Everything is measured against an idealized standard and anything else is 'mid' and 'mediocre'. We are not 'true contenders'. So-and-so is not a 'true #1 option'. And all of this is proclaimed with an aspect of definitive foresight where future outcomes and the ceiling of the players and the team are assured.

In this one, we beat the Nets by 10 points. We didn't trail since about the 9:30 mark in the second quarter. And yet to read the PG it's presented as if this was an L for the team. Truly bizarre.

Why give this scrub the ball so much?

Hilarious to think you waited 11 games to be able to complain about RJ

Not convinced you actually watched the game tho. If you did you know he just missed stuff he usually makes.

StarJ finally had a bad game with efficiency. IQ finally looks ready for greatness. CMB hype of being an all around monster is real. B.I is unstoppable in the mid range. Shead, Gradey, JaKobe improvements by the quarter mark will be amazing to see. Poeltl still getting healthy. It's going to be a great time

They really don't, but seems everyone thinks they have to, so naturally they gravitate to it.
Scottie is a guy that can buck that trend.

I am hoping they can retain Shead. I really like his game. The problem is that Quickleys contract is so long. I see Shead as a future starting PG in the league. Maybe give him a Pritchard type contract moving forward.

It’s a valid point. He missed point blank layups. Today was an outlier. Even the best shooters have nights like tonight.

Let’s not pretend like RJ hasn’t been our most efficient player all season.

Pacers made the NBA finals without a true #1

Have we tried this lineup yet?

Looks good on paper.

Is probably our best small ball lineup.

He can be a really good 3rd option and someone that does it all from the point forward position, sort of like Draymond without the crazy antics. Ingram is a trash high volume, low IQ player. He reminds me of young Demar Derozan. RJ is the same another low IQ chucker. Not to rain on anyone's parade here but Brooklyn is a trash team and if it wasn't for IQ finding his stroke from 3 we would have been close to losing this game.

We blew up the team to give scotty the keys...traded our players.....hired a coach that called him a "future face of the league" that caters to him at embarrasing levels...signed him to a max contract.

But let's not expect him to be more than a glue guy?

He's like a Lowry....you still need better players in front of him if the goal is to be a contender.

The most important thing is that Barnes can be a key player on a contending team...he's not a net negative player, like Beal for example.

Yup. I have no problem with Scottie playing to his strengths. Even without being a "go-to" scorer, he can be a super important piece on a championship level team.

I have really liked what I have seen from him so far this season. He needs to play like a big. Its what he is best suited for.

His defense alone has won this team games this season.

Bro was at 65.7 TS% with a career high 3 point rate lmao before tonight. Just had some regression but it was all good shots for RJ tn for the most part and still had a good amount of assists anyways.

Most games against the East is going to feel like this lol.

Even Pacers are brutal showing how few players can carry a team. Siakam can’t carry a team as he’s showing after all the talk we had in here last season due to his success on a good team. The Raptors should be in the pack trying to get homecourt in the playoffs this year.
