Most games against the East is going to feel like this lol.
Even Pacers are brutal showing how few players can carry a team. Siakam can’t carry a team as he’s showing after all the talk we had in here last season do to his success on a good team. The Raptors should be in the pack trying to get homecourt in the playoffs this year.
Pascal showing hes an excellent #2 guy
Pascal is a top 25 player. It is so strange that he is so highly criticized on this board but ppl are pleased with these sub top 50 performances by Barnes.
It's so weird that Pascal can lead his team to a game 7 finals matchup and then get dogged on this board for a shaky second half. Meanwhile....Barnes can't lead his mediocre team to wins over basement teams and ppl compliment his performance.
Twilight zone stuff. This is why ppl compare it to bargani. No other raptor in history gets this much goodwill while having not contributed to a single significant achievement to the franchise in 5 years. Only Bargs and Barnes.
I'm not even sure we can even call Barnes a good draft pick anymore. It's starting 6to look like he would come 6th or 7th in a redraft.
Even if you want to call him a glue guy like Draymond. He isn't good at alot of those intangibles. He doesn't set good screens. He's not a great rebounder. He's a good team defender....but not elite like Bam or draymond.
He's a good player....but end of day....these performances are approximately 50ish best player in the league caliber. That should be a huge disappointment given that we decided to rebuild the franchise around him.
And it's not even that once every 5 games he goes off and has a top 10 or top 15 performance. He's not even sniffing that level. Pascal always did.
He is not even coming close to the hype and the hopes. Let's not kid ourselves. Perhaps most foreboding...he seems content and happy with where he is at. There's no fire in him unless he gets the chance to do a look-back dunk. I don't think HE believes he is going to be a top 25 player or deserves to be so.
