Jokic stats last 9 games: 27/12/13 on 80% TS

Post#1 » by guynumber45 » Thu Nov 13, 2025 12:14 am

Excluding that first game of the season against the Warriors where Jokic decided to chuck 13 threes, he has been an efficiency monster. 27ppg, 12 assists(Which is leading the league) and 13 rebounds while shooting a blistering 73% from the field and 45% from 3.

Is Jokic on track to have his best season yet and possibly win a 4th MVP?

Outside of the Kings game being kinda close, he's been blowing teams out by nearly 20 a night during this run. Only loss was to Portland/refs.

I completely agree. What makes him impossible is that he doesn't miss 10 footers. Like you could come up with a game plan that limits his passing and makes him take mid rangers and floaters. That works for basically every big man in history. Except jokic doesn't miss those.

The bar has been raised so ridiculously high for him to win MVP again I just don’t see it happening. Even though yes he’ll obviously deserve it. But many voters treat MVP like a participation trophy where guys get it based on a lifetime achievement award, or under the logic of “Well Jokic has 3 already and Luka has 0”

Direct result of the FO finally giving Jokic some help in the form of JV and the other bench guys. He doesn't have to work as hard on offense trying to carry the team on his back. Plus he has actually gotten some decent rest in the middle of games since the bench doesn't instantly give up the lead he built when he sits. He's able to take better quality shots and not have to force things when nobody else can score. Also have to give Jamal some credit here for actually coming into the season in shape and ready to go, as he has helped ease a lot of that burden as well. He's definitely on pace to have probably his most efficient season yet, even if the counting numbers don't end up being as gaudy as previous years in the end.

This is Denver's year to win it. They look locked in and ready.

Jokic is the best offensive player in the league. Luka and Giannis also have a claim, but Jokic is just unbelievable on offensive if you factor in all that he does. Luka is probably the better pure scorer.

I will say this though. I think Shai has some of the best playoff offensive game in the league. His scoring style is made for the playoffs. Half-court, foul drawing, mid range, etc.

The more Jokic defers, the less likely it is that Denver will win a championship.
Denver NEED homecourt ad to win a championship, now that the West is so packed, same as last year.
Jokic's never averaged 30ppg, despite even his running mate Jamal Murray being inconsistent.
So we'll see if 27ppg and 12ppg is enough for Denver to win the West, or whether all that passing will cost them.

99% of people make bad takes regularly, so saying I make bad takes, means I make good takes.
And if Jokic is so unstoppable, why doesn't he try to carry his team's scoring?

Those 12 assists per game only have to dry up (as in his teammates miss shots) for one quarter of a game, and Denver fall further being OKC in the standings.
And make no mistake, Denver NEED the #1 seed, if their goal is to win a championship.

The goal is surely not for Jokic to have pretty stats...

Call me when Denver win the #1 seed over OKC with Jokic averaging 12 assists per game and only 27ppg...
Never gonna happen.
