Is it just a hot streak? Or has his game got even better? His touch looks the best it's ever been. He's murdering Zubac tonight - the best Jokic defender in the NBA.

Probably both, eh?

For peak (2023), I agree and have him only behind MJ.

For career, I'd put him like 10th right now, but obviously still with plenty of opportunity to climb higher.

I also agree he's the best offensive player ever.

The Nuggets had a fairly easy schedule, though.

However, you can only play who comes at you, and he handled that quite good.

Still not in the top 10 for me, but clearly above Kobe, Durant, Garnett, Dirk etc.

Never seen anything like that. And that's before the 55 point game tonight.

Also props to Giannis on the 36 PER. That's gigantic.
Thank you Nico!

It sucks that Giannis is stuck on such a miserable roster. We should be talking about him a lot more than we are. He's pretty much the worst case scenario for what could have happened to Jokic if Denver didn't do something roster wise.

He had plenty of opportunities to leave. He was more than aware that the Bucks pretty much exhausted all their assets for that window from 2019-2024. I want him to actually be competiting in the last few years of his prime, but his current predicament is self-inflicted

Secondly, Valanciunas being able to relief Jokic for about 15 minutes and Jokic can be his absolute best at all times. Jokic tend to coast for about half a quarter if he needs to play 40+ minutes a game. Keeping his average to about 33 minute will keep him fresh for the playoffs.

Even though Cam Johnson is still kind of ass, but he and Bruce Brown have the ability to initiate plays. Last season it was only Murray, Jokic and ticking time bomb in Westbrook. It further eases Jokic’s duties.

With more help, if Jokic wants to go off like he’s doing right now, it’s only so much more easier for him.

This.

He makes his teammates better, but this depth with healthy Murray and Gordon, also makes Jokić better.

Also it's worth point out that their schedule had been soft so it definitely helped his efficiency.

No, last year and this year are by far his best years, he's still peaking.

It’s like Jokic is running away with the mvp by being 1st in all
Advanced stats and SGA is second in everything except per… sga gonna lose the mvp to jokic and look at the order

It’s jokic then sga then Giannis then Luka ….
Then Mitchell… all

Jokic has been on a roll during Denver's winning streak. He's the first player in NBA history to average a 35-point triple-double while shooting 60% or better across a six-game stretch.

He's averaging 35.8 points, 12.0 rebounds and 11.0 assists while shooting 73.9% from the field and 55.6% from 3-point range.

Except from an article about the last 6 games from jokic… insane

Over the last 10 games, he has averaged 29.6 points, 13.1 rebounds and 11.0 assists with an 82.0 TS%. And only 3.1 turnovers.

Even if you ignore the casual triple doubles, the scoring efficiency combined with volume is mind-boggling.

And that 55 point night was against supposedly the best Jokic defender in the NBA. The Clippers figured Zubac could handle him in single coverage and stayed home on the wing guys to prevent Jokic from getting them involved. They were wrong.

I agree with the easy schedule that gives me cause for pause. But one thing I like is that they are beating these teams convincingly withthr starters playing sub 35 mins.

This time last year if I remember, they were around 500 and all the games were mostly close, even when they faced sub par competition.

Stats update after the 55 point game. One key thing from the game -- Denver had injuries to two starters (Johnson and Braun) and they may be out for awhile. That could mess up the team's rhythm.

I know this board is tired of Nuggets fans gushing over the guy, but he somehow keeps getting better. I don't see how this is sustainable, but I didn't think the season he had two or three years ago was sustainable either, and he's gotten better since then. He just doesn't have bad games.

He also never gets hurt. Weird because he is battling in the paint every night, while Murray can't stay healthy despite playing on the perimeter

Does not jump helps a lot…. His thick frame helps a lot for him to occupy space to operate… the dude should never lose more weight like what a lot of fools suggest here….

Also other than somber shuffle, you’ll never see Joker out of balance… a lot athletic dudes tend to do crazy stuff and hurt themselves… Joker never does… same way like how Tom Brady operates, Tom by no means is a top athlete, but the dude has a very flexible body, best pocket presence, always outsmart opponents
