Is it safe to say His Highness, King James won't be retiring this year?

Post#1 » by ScrantonBulls » Thu Nov 13, 2025 5:23 pm

I feel like if he was having a retirement tour he would have announced it by now. Maybe he will wait to see how his body responds before announcing anything. He's already missing extended time with back issues (probably from all the golf he's been playing).

I highly doubt this is his last year. At least 1 more.

I agree. I think he'll play one more after this year barring major injury.

I think very highly of LeBron but I always assumed we'd get like 3 years notice to him retiring so everyone has plenty of time to praise his career lol.

I think his strategy was to shift to the Clippers but that likely got derailed by the whole cap circumvention fiasco. Right now the last thing the league needs/wants is Leonard and the Clippers to win a championship.

It's ok bro. Kobe gave him the blessing to play on the Lakers. There's no need to defend Kobe's honor.

Yes, because a shift from the Lakers to the LEGENDARY Clippers franchise makes total sense

Holy crap one of the only guys that could make the Clippers even older.

Even before the Aspiration mess, I think it's hard to imagine a scenario when Lebron going to the Clippers next year works out for anyone (besides maybe ticket sales?) They can't sign him outright unless it's for way too cheap, and Kawhi and Harden will be yet another year older.

The best Laker ever ( along with Magic ) does not need me to defend his honor

The Mamba has little to do with my wish to see the fake king away from my favorite team. I personally want players that want to win ; that don't prioritize their stats and ego over winning.

Also, even if I remember that Kobe gave his blessing to Lebron , I'm pretty sure that he would want him gone too, after his 7 years here... barely saved by a Mickey Mouse ring. There is nothing else to remember...

One last thing : I would gladly accept a Lebron who would play for the team, supporting Luka and A.R.; a new Lebron who completely stop caring about his numbers and plays defense and give the team the physicality needed to compete vs Thunder, Nuggets, Rockets , and whoever get out of the East. I know, it's wishful thinking on my part...

You guys want him to announce a retirement tour so bad just to crap on him. But if he stays silent, you all will still criticize him.

LeGOAT can't win with you kids.
