That is kinda the feeling I have. The Detriot game last night was not awesome but as said it was more G Lerague shootout which doesn't really show either team. If we have Giddey and Coby going against that decimated squad and they look as awful I am really worried. As is, don't feel good but there is no panic. We all knew this patch was going to be tough even if healthy. So not entirely out of the norm. Good not great is exactly the ceiling of this team and I think they will return to that. I believe a 6-8 team is what they are granted that moistly still qualifies as playin team.

I do wonder if there is a bit of a book out against us which is that we simply can't defend the rim.

Without a doubt there is. We can see it and if coaching staffs can't they should be fired. Are we going to have a way to minimize it? Hopefully. The current squad doesn't have much to mitigate it.

I know it's early. But we just beat two up-and-coming playoff teams that's are expected to be better this year then last year. Matas looked great in the first game. Despite having a forgettable 2nd game, the Bulls beat the Magic pretty good. This team has some serious depth. Patrick "Tin Man" Williams appears to have found a heart this season.

There are instances of teams figuring it out in the second half of the season and carrying it over to the next season. Especially when you keep that group intact the year after.

There are also instances that show it was just a flash in the pan and it didn't really mean much.

I'm sure I'll be called a negative Nancy or pessimistic Pete, but I just don't think 2 games into the season anyone should be jumping the shark one way or another.

The Rockets have lost their first 2 games and their last 3 games of last season. Are they destined for the lottery?

All I'm saying is wait maybe 20 games before making such 'claims'.

Rockets lost their PG and they will now struggle. They can’t shoot. At all.
