Brinbe wrote:crazy extremes this season. okc may legit challenge the wins record, the bottom of the league may challenge that 76ers loss record and then there's a lot of teams (us included) in that mushy middle.

but the bulls are good example of how things can change rapidly on a week-to-week basis. they were darlings to start and now that they've cooled off they're right where we are. and i think we'll see that with a lot of teams this season depending on what stretch of games they have. but we've held up okay considering we had a difficult schedule to start the season.

OKC doesn't even have Jalen yet! And Ajay Mitchell looks really, really good. He can start on many teams already imo.

If not for Wemby, I think they'd be lined up for a dynasty (may do it anyway!)

Norman Powell is still cooking. I’m never gonna stop talking about that stupid trade.

Derik Queen is heating up. I wonder if we made a mistake not taking him. He would fit our need at C

Yeah its possible they messed it up....By going all defense first guys....Queen looks the more well rounded player so far but its still early....I was a big Queen guy while everyone hated the guy for some reason which im glad hes shutting alot of them up.

Whats more of a baffling move was not just selecting Queen and making Pelicans (Who obv wanted him bad) bid for him and we could be sitting pretty with a top 5 pick in one of the most stacked drafts...

Imagine being a playoff team this year while also having a really good shot at one of Peterson, Boozer, Dybantsa, Ament, Yessoufou, Wilson

Hawks will have a shot at it now by making a great decision.

What a finish in Sam Antonio! Wemby and Steph showed up and showed out, it was a great moment of the old guard vs the new superstars, the league is in a great place. Also, Do not take Steph Curry for granted!

Back to back 40+ points for him. He is certainly not ready to step down.
I watched the last 5 minutes, it was an excellent game.

Bad play selected by the Spurs coach for their last possession, shoulda given it to Wemby for a layup instead of the Fox contested midrange.

Players that are Curry’s size shouldn’t be able to drop multiple 40+ point games at that age. Surreal stuff.

About time. Great guy but he's just like his mentor Doc Rivers.

I've said this before but we need to be circling the Pels like vultures. If we can somehow land Jones (in January when he can be traded), we are cooking.

Rivers is one of the winningest coaches in NBA history. Green made the Pelicans better in his first three years and then suffered from injury hell. He literally had Zion for 4000 minutes in 5 seasons. None of this is on him. Not any of it.

Pels fans, all 100 of them, would disagree. There were also rumblings last year that the players weren't happy with him. Obviously the state of the team is not on him, but this was Dumars' first lever to pull. Whether you think it's fair or not, it's a results based business. They are as badly run as one can be, but I would argue they're better than 2-10. They do have talent on that team.

When I watch Wemby all i see is a player who would be average if he was 6'8. When you can block, layup, or dunk without hardly jumping, you need not block out because you can reach over, I'm supposed to be impressed?

You don't get as skilled as Wemby is at that size by just being "Average" The guy plays like a guard and the facts are hes not 6'8"....You don't average 26-13-4 with 4 Blks/1 Stl per game if you just "Average" Height obviously is the reason for him being so special and unique but there have been many "Tall" freaks in the past who can't do even 20 percent of what Wemby can do....

You my friend sound like a jealous hater.

Jealous? No. He gets blocks because of his height. Take any average player and give him that height and he would get 4 blicks 1 steal.

I'd be conflicted if he was on the Raptors. It's like having a cheat code in a game that you previously couldn't beat.
