The top 5 posters on there

I usually skip over such nonsensical thread, so I haven't read through this one much. But what does your screenshot of the top posters imply? Were they in favor of trading Scottie?
I don’t even remember what I did or didn’t say, but it certainly wasn’t “trade Scottie at all costs he sucks”.
As usual, people cherry pick comments to pile on.
I’m hyped the guys playing well. That’s all that really I care about now

FWIW - I went back and read the thread and had my posts quoted, and then RealGM crashed on my mobile.
But in summary I said stuff like:
- If CMB is Scottie 2.0 you should trade Scottie IF (IF!!!) you get an elite player back
- I worried that Scottie’s growth is finished, and that if we could cash out at a good price we should listen
- trades id like would have been a Sabonis / Halliburton type thing if you could get a young up and coming stud who fits us better (so, Barnes for a young stud guard really)
- I said his offense historically has been a net negative (not untrue)
- I also said things like I’d be happy if he even was a 15/8/6 type guy with elite defence, and my #1 concern I expressed multiple times was his tendency to float in and out of games and lack effort. IIRC, I said that 15/8/6 with good effort consistently is a “hell of a player”.
- then Moneyball argued with me if ORTG or another box score stat was actually a box score stat or not (spoiler - it still is lol).
So no - I never advocated we trade Scottie. I said we do it for an elite player, or a stud younger player at a position of need
And then this year so far he’s improve on pretty much every grievance I had with the guy and I’m happy to see the growth. I’m not a guy who has to much pride to admit I was wrong, and Scottie is giving the effort in a way I wa uncertain he ever woukd. Granted, 11 games, lots of season left, but great early returns.
