I love hoopers like Shead, not only you can see that he loves the game but more than that he wants to win at all cost. We saw it during summer league and brought the same energy to the regular season. I bet he plays the same way in practice, guys who compared him to Lowry were right. Maybe not game wise but same type of character, toughness, grit and compete level. He's a culture setter, guys like that you want them in your organisation for their whole career.

It unlocks the 2 way potential for the starting lineup and unlocks IQ to become a lethal shooter.

I think our best line up is

Poeltl
Barnes
Ingram
IQ
Shead

I think so too. Makes everyone else in that lineup better.

Issue is, we don’t know if Shead is ready for that starting role nor do we have a back up PG to take his place.

We shouldn't have any issue re-signing Mamu right?

He’s a stud. 2021 draft might not have the traditional #1 option but it sure is incredibly deep.

Depends on the offers he might get.

We’re still currently a luxury tax team.

There is no reason to start Shead. Even when we had Lowry/Fred during their best years, Fred came off the bench and still closed a lot of games. Shead can do the same.

Still wish we had last years version of Ochai because I think thats what the starting lineup needs and RJ would become a 6th man of the year candidate simultaneously. Its just great to have enough skill on the team again where we can argue about what works best.

This is what separates Ingram from DeRozan.

DeMar was a selfish player.
Ingram isn't.

IQ's 3pt % is up to 38% on the season now.

What a turnaround!

This is what made me excited coming into the year - all our starters had an assist% that showed they were unselfish and willling and able to feed teammates good scoring opportunities, even while getting their own offensively.

Not a lot of teams that can say the same.

Yak had an insane game looks like the back has cleared up now. I was really concerned with how he looked early but man he absolutely won the matchup with Mobley/Allen. If he looks like what he did last year pencil us in for a top 6 seed with a chance at homecourt.

We almost won 60 games with FVV and Lowry starting though but yeah, Shead is maybe another year or 2 away from being ready to be a full time starter.

We got time to tinker.

I think Ingram will only get better as the season goes along. I remember Pascal was slow in 2021-22 after a lengthy lay-off. Hoping the same for Ingram

We could be 13-7 or 14-6 before our matchup against the Knicks on the 30th.

6 of the next 8 should be guaranteed wins.

That would put us at 13-7 at worst.

not necessary...refs can easily rob you of a few games, or cold streak and be 5-5

yeah lets not count the eggs before they hatch
