Awful Coaching 101
You know every now and then the YouTube algorithm gives you a chefs kiss.
The rabbit hole led me to this YouTube channel.
Not sure if anyone has seen it.
Hell all of his videos are beyond awesome. The fact that they haven’t been taken down by the nba is a miracle.

This guy better not be introduced to Jamal Mosley. Content for years.

Yeah this guy is hilarious most of the time. Sometimes he reaches and has some weird takes on x's and o's, but still funny. I don't think he monetizes his videos, so maybe that's why the NBA hasn't gone after him (yet). Subbed to him a few years back, one of his favorite targets to make fun of used to be the Pistons. Its fun hate-watching.

Funny but a lot of his takes are bad. Sometimes the defense is good but the offense is just way better.

im 3 minutes in and the things hes complaining about dont have much to do with regular season coaching. This guys funny, but half the time hes being unfair or incorrect.

Looks like he deleted his older videos unfortunately. They were way funnier before he went viral.
He started out as guy ranting about bad coaching/defense getting less than 100 views per video. Then he went viral and started hamming it up.

I watched a few of his videos last year and always got a kick out of them. I've seen some comments saying he got demonetized and since then became even more unhinged haha. Not sure if that's true or not though.

Honestly I feel like bball nerds watch this in the morning with their coffee or energy drink to get them going for the day.
I personally can't take the over the top voices that overly focus on star players but... on the way to work why not.
I am personally a more fan of the YouTube WhatSlaps style. Seems like the kinda dude that would post here.

Not to be a buzzkill, but this guy is genuinely a **** moron who doesn’t understand any of the nuances of basketball (in general, much less at the NBA level). I’ve tried a number of videos and am always pretty unimpressed with his knowledge, especially given the context of his persona.
Watching him as entertainment slop/ragebait is ultimately fine, but I think people should be aware that he has a poor grasp on how basketball is played at higher levels, especially on the defensive end.

Re: Awful Coaching 101
Not much of an analyst. He reaches all the time - at this level you sometimes pick your poison and get beat. Sometimes he doesn't pick out that what seems like an error is a deliberate tactic. (Like teams funneling drivers to bigs) The content hunting is very glaring.
Good entertainer sometimes, though, has fun quips at times. The scream all the time thing gets tedious over time, the volume and the abrasiveness lose their potency when they're constant.

He's too much hyperbole, prefer Daniel Li, HeatCheck and Lets_Watch_The_Film
The Greatest of All Time debate in basketball is essentially who has the greatest basketball resume of the player who has the best highlights instead of who is the best player

Re: Awful Coaching 101
Not a fan, I can watch it for a little laugh, but not for good analysis. I've mentioned it in other threads. His reads make it seem like he's never played basketball, because he doesn't realize that not all these things you can do in real life. He thinks that when you're playing at a high level you can take away everything, you can't, you make decisions on what you give up unless trying to stop everything, you'll give up everything.
He's always anti drop coverage, and thinks every coach should have their big man up on the screen as if there's no counter to that also, and as if screen and roll defense isn't also determined by personnel.
He calls similar decisions by a player bad in one game if they miss and good in a a game if the make.
He calls guys defense bad when they make an offensive player take a solidly contested shot from mid-range for example, because the guy makes it.
It can be entertaining, though I think he screams too much, but his actual analysis quality is poor, he knows some coaching terms and some stuff, but he extends beyond his actual knowledge and over applies some of the stuff he knows to situations that don't make sense.

Pretty much. He misses 8/10 times
I agree with the first video where Mitch Johnson is a pretty average X and 0's coach, but some of the **** he posts is just hindsight and ignoring that there is also 5 players on the opposition team trying to break up plays
