I havent watched much minny. How has he been driving to the basket this season?

All from that 2017-18 team

Those moves led to a chip so irrelevant.

Juju is a monster, only reason he's not a 3 time All-NBA guy already is Bam injuring him.

At the time, a lot of people were expecting Randle to get 40m per season, maybe close to 45, and the Knicks didn't want to be tied into that.

Then Randle had a lackluster season overall and got a decent amount less than expected when the trade first went down.

There's also speculation that it wasn't a given he or the Knicks still wanted each other.

Last season was about a wash, but I think most felt the Knicks were ahead slightly. Randle struggled plenty last season, as did DDV.

But as of this season, it looks like it has started to really work out for the Twolves.

I think it has worked out for the Knicks too, but no doubt they miss DDV. He would fit nicely in Brown's system (not sure Randle would).

Randle is just one of the players that cant play in New York. I cant take his turnovers and poor playoff performances and neither could other fans.

That is a terrible nickname

When he plays within himself & doesn't force it, he's a beast. If he can get back to the defensive level he was at for us in 20-21, he's a top 5 PF in the league.

This is why I don’t blame Randle for being sick of NYC. Dude soldiered through an injury that required surgery to play decoy for Brunson & Barrett, dragging Mobley & Bam out of the paint, and we crucified him for it.

Ultimately the problem was us not having a team option 3rd year on Hartenstein. That left us needing a center and KAT being on offer for a reasonable rate in a trade that dodged a lot of tricksy questions for both franchises

…but I still wish we could’ve seen what those pre-Randle-injury-post-OG-trade Knicks could’ve done if healthy / if they had gotten another year together.

He was a top 5 PF in the league before he got hurt that final season with us *shrug*

Julius just needs someone else who can takeover in crunch time & let him be that hot starting 1B who warps a defense early for the 1A to take over and close things out later.

He was spectacular in the playoffs last year too. Extremely impressed with how he's continued to improve his game since coming into the league.

Hard not to root for a guy like Randle, especially after how shabbily he was treated by some Knicks fans and esp the toxic New York media.

Really happy he has found a home and fanbase in Minnesota that really appreciate and value him.
