So creepy to call a player 'His Highness'.

Naah, he won't be.

Did he say it himself he is retiring? From his twitter or an interview ? Or was he sitting on a podcast and said he’s thinking about it and this might be his last year ? If it was a random podcast then he’s likely playing longer if it was his twitter than he already plans to retire :dontknow:

Please he's not retiring unless he gets Queen of England fanfare.

Given how much weight he carries and the mileage lebron has on his body the fact that players born more than a decade and or and came much later into the league with far less mileage bodies have broken down way before him is very suspect the ped allegations can not be dismissed.

I believe it's a joke because Jordan is called "his airiness".

Are you calling Jordan fans a cult?

So you applied this same logic to KD and Curry right? They are both 37 years old and still performing great.

I think he wants to be the first 25-year player in league history, and to see if he can have any influence over Bryce getting into the league.

I don't care for MJ or his fans, but I don't see them putting "His Airness" in thread titles and asking you to bow down to his greatness like OP constantly does.

I'm saying calling LeBron his highness is a reference to Jordan being called his airness.

You called it a cult but I don't think you realised the genesis of the term is actually Jordan fans. I thought it was amusing to call LeBron fandom a cult in this context. That's all.

His nickname is King James, it was his nickname in high school and media ran with it. The crowning jesture and other "king" references is just playing with my his nickname. For some reason it puts people on edge, I could understand if it wasn't his nickname since he was a child. Maybe people forget. He's not actually saying he's a king, it's for fun.

I was a big fan of the Lakers when he wasn' t even born, so I have the right to kick him out of MY team if he doesn't fall in line :D

I'm sure the Busses and Mark Walter would agree.

If someone started a thread calling Jordan “his airness” i would laugh at it just the same personally. Their athletes people.

Two of LeBron's former teammates already stake a claim to that nickname. I don't even need to say who they are.

He's seeing how he feels in every offseason to see if he has the drive to do another legit season.

I don't think Bryce is a factor, I don't think the Bronny experience was great. The backlash has been harsh on his son.

Right now I think he's probably just doing this season to see what it's like to play with Luka-Reaves.

I think you see it as people calling these athletes deities because they are called "king James" or "his airness".

Where as others (probably the ones calling them that) see these names as nicknames that are based on the fact that they are great at basketball.

They are marvelous athletes who achieved or met the pinnacle of their profession but at the end of the day they are athletes making millions and millions of dollars. Jordan and James are both worth a billions dollars. They dont need glazing from us lol.
