I still have Spectrum internet and have to play the stupid game every year. Sometimes it's easy to keep the same rate sometimes it's like buying a car with the stupid negotiation and escalation you have to do.

One other thing, Spectrum is my only Internet choice so that makes it tougher to negotiate. ATT fiber is here but not yet available to me. The cell phone companies all offer 5G internet but I've heard nothing good about that.

I've had T-Mobile 5G home internet for a few years and it's been great. Like every service it has some hiccups now and then but it's been infinitely better than the experience I was having with Spectrum - faster, more reliable and cheaper.

Interesting. I guess it depends on your location and proximity to a tower. I don't game but I stream a lot.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I stream everything, work from home, have 40 some devices connected to my wifi network. I do live close to a tower though, I forgot about that. You could always try it for a month and see how it goes. I had it for two months before making that sweet, sweet call to Spectrum telling them to pound sand.

Under the deal it gives those subscribers full access to the ESPN app. That’s really nice.

I see the ESPN channels back but not ABC yet which is fine.

Wonder how long until YTTV sends out the email about prices going up.

All streamers raise prices so sure, it will go up at some point. But in the meantime they did give access to the new ESPN Unlimited, which goes separately for $30 a month. That hasn't been rolled out yet. And the new NBC Sports streaming service is incorporated into YTTV so I can dump Peacock (I only watch sports for the most part on Peacock).

Too bad YTTV sucks as an app and doesn't have FDSN. I'm not paying for a service that's a pain in the ass to use and doesn't even include the main reason I pay for TV - the ability to watch my favorite local sports teams.

That's interesting, I find the YTTV interface and user experience to be great. I have it on TV through Roku and the app on my tablet and phone and I love it. It would be nice to have FD but I just split the FD subscription with 2 others so the cost is minimal. I have a friend who has DTV and I think it's pretty bad lol. I guess once you're used to something anything else looks bad in comparison. To each their own. :D

I've got DTV Stream and I think their interface is top tier. I tried YTTV, and I just couldn't get past how annoying it was to find what you wanted. Maybe I just like having channel numbers.

I will note that when I tried YTTV, I also added FD subscription to see if it would be more cost effective long term. But the FD app is just horrible. Half the time, it would freeze and close out on me and trying to cast it to my LGTV was a pain.

Right now, I pay for the following:
DTV Stream + Redzone
HBO Max
Peacock
Paramount Plus

I only pay for Peacock and Paramount Plus for access to soccer. Paramount Plus has the worst app of any of them.

Lucikly, DTV gives me the Disney apps (Disney +, ESPN, Hulu) for free, so that's a big money saver.
