Random thought that doesn’t deserve a thread:

Only 5 teams in the East have a negative point differential. Two are Chicago (just barely, -0.3) and Charlotte (not that bad, -2.5). The other three, Washington, Indiana and Brooklyn, are all 1-10 and at least -14.

East teams are collectively only 6 games under .500, and thus 24 games over .500 except those three teams. Currently the last playin spot goes to a 7-6 team. The last playin spot in the West is a 4-8 team.

But yes, of course, the three teams with dominant point differentials are all in the West. Just talking about conference depth here.

I’ll give you Charlotte. The Wizards have the worst point differential in the NBA, so they definitely aren’t showing it yet.
