It's the difference between having an elite FO and an average one.

I mean, it's nice the Knicks have an average FO for once, considering their FOs were league worst for 20 years.

But, last year the team hit it's lucky ceiling and now we are capped out, out of assets and going specifically nowhere.

Beats sucking, I guess. At least the regular season isn't complete ass. Well, with Brunson out it will be, for about 20 games.

So? There are like 5 way better teams in the West.

Plus, Knicks still won't get out of the 1st round in the East. The defense sucks, the team bogs down in the half court against half ass defense and there is no other creator on the team other than Brunson because the Knicks had to play 130 million to 3 3rd option type players. Good times, I guess.

Man listening to Simmons and Legler slobbering all over OKC and Ajay Mitchell is such a bummer. Like if OKC wants the guy you’re picking why would you trade him? They’re making Brunson comparisons already and we had his rights. Can’t believe the front office fell in love with a guy like Kolek that can’t even shoot off the dribble. Just a major draft screw up. It just sucks we’ve finally gotten really good and there’s another dynasty in the works.

I was thinking about the ajay situation the other day and true it sucks but also how many have okc missed. Quit a few(poku :oops:

) and I havent heard anything about the lotto pick we sent there.

Thing is they just take soooooo many swings that theyre bound to get some right. That is the true key to their process. And it looks like they get 2 more top 10 picks this year and the mavs 1st in 2 years :nonono:

Ajay Mitchell was never the Knicks' pick, the same way Jalen Duren wasn't the Knicks' pick.

The Knicks picked Ajay because they had already agreed to a deal with OKC to draft him for OKC, the same way the Knicks drafted Jalen Duren and sent him to the PIstons. The Pistons told the Knicks to draft Duren for them just in case another team got him before he fell to them(Pistons')selection.

For example:

OKC calls the Knicks and tells them "if Ajay Mitchell is still on the board draft him for us, and we'll trade for him".

The deal is already completed before the selection.

I was pro Aller but all his did was saddle the Knicks with over priced guys like MIkal and KAT while serving his masters Leon and WWW, while his trading shenanigans have made the Knicks trade out like a half dozen good youth for the mediocre collection of youth they now are stuck with.

Either that or Walt Perrin actually sucks and is riding the Donovan Mitchell reputation.

I'd like to hope they get this year's draft pick right since Thibs isn't going to force them to trade for a 3rd tour of Alec Burks.

They should trade all their picks the next two years for Giannis.
Like, Caruso, Dort and scrubs to match $, and like 6 1st rounders.

One, it would make them great and the Knicks never win a chip and I get to savor long term angst, number two it would kill the Giannis hope for this year so I get more short term angst fix as well.
