I don't think it's out of the question that Queen will be better than whoever the Hawks draft with the Pelicans 2026 first round pick.

It's not just the pick. It was the lower pick in 2025 (Asa Newell) plus New Orleans 2026 pick for Queen

So it's Jeremiah Fears and Derik Queen vs. Asa Newell and TBD. It's looking good for the Pelicans.

Fears wasn't part of that deal.

Also, the Pelicans traded the Pacers 2026 unprotected pick for the Pacers 2025 pick (no. 23...that's the one the Hawks got).

I like Kon Knueppel during the draft. But he has really exceeded my expectations.

He had 32 today against the Bucks.

I really wanted Zikarsky in the 2nd round.

Funny how these things go. VJ Edgecombe was the steal of the draft, now it's Kon. I couldn't possibly tell you who will have the best NBA career, but it seems pretty clear that they both will do just fine.

I expected great things from VJ, he's was my favourite player in the whole draft.

I expected good things from Knueppel. He's done way more than I anticipated. I liked Kon, but thought the Hornets were crazy to take him at #4, I see their reasoning was justified.
