I honestly feel bad for the guy as a human being.

I believe he has some untreated mental health issues and never got the right help. He also didn't seem to have these issues early in his career. He goes on these weird podcasts where players like Gil secretly clown him while acting like they like him. Also attacking Trae Young was probably a bad move as Trae had no smoke with him whatsoever.

He has this weird thing were he wants respect from his fellow peers for being a defensive role-player. I mean who cares, you got millions bro, just let it go at this point. You won. Alot of guys are forgotten. Anyone still bringing up the name Elden Campbell or Theo Ratliff lol. You just gotta play it like Garrett Temple and be likeable and you can end up like an Ime Udoka who sucked worse than Bev and is now looked at as some genius. I mean looked how JJ Reddick finessed the NBA. There is an art to it as a roleplayer type guy.

PersonaIly...I feel like trying to stay in the NBA and get contracts made him borderline insane somehow. He was actually just a scorer in college and found this weird niche as this defensive player that wouldn't turn off the intensity and it bled into his personal life.

We also shouldn't judge too harshy as the Black Mamba had his legal issues too. The game at this level can make you off balance as a person at times.

They said it happened when Beverley found his 14 year old sister with an 18 year old man in the middle of the night. If it's for going after the dude, then I don't blame him at all. If it's from something he did to his sister, then I highly doubt it was done with intent to do harm. It's Patrick Beverley though, so who knows.

ROSHARON, Texas -- Former NBA guard Patrick Beverley was arrested and charged with felony assault in what police in Texas called a "family violence" incident.

Beverley, 37, was arrested early Friday at a home in Rosharon, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said. Bail was set at $40,000.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Beverley's sister told officials she left the home in the middle of the night without permission to see her boyfriend, Aiden Hilderbrand, at a nearby park on Nov. 14.

When she returned home, her mother, Lisa, was awake ... and told her to enter her room. Lisa then told her daughter to call Hilderbrand and tell him to pick her up.

Upon his arrival, Hilderbrand was told to go inside ... and Lisa called Beverley to come over to the residence.

Beverley then seemingly scolded his sister before he "grabbed her by her neck with both hands, and picked her up off the ground, by having her feet come up from the floor."

His sister claims his grasp on her neck made her feel pain and as if she was losing oxygen and unable to breathe ... which lasted between 20 and 30 seconds.

The sister stated Beverley took her out of the bedroom by the neck and slammed her body against the walls of an open room area of the house.

She claims Beverley then laid her on the sofa, stood on top of her and punched her "approximately one time on her left eye with a closed fist."

The sister added Beverley made a comment that "he will be the family relative to kill her."

The docs state Hilderbrand was then told to leave the house ... and Beverley followed him.

When Beverley returned, the sister claims her boyfriend called cops for assistance.

Officials say there were markings on the sister's neck and she had petechiae in the whites of her eyes.

Beverley was taken into custody and booked for felony assault in the Fort Bend County jail.

He later went to social media ... claiming, "Please don’t believe everything you see on the internet. Hope all is well Luv"

Good. It drives me nuts how the media was rewarding him for being an ass to other players. He should’ve been out of the league from the time of the Chris Paul shove. But the nba continued to treat him with kid gloves. Hopefully a real taste of punishment convinces him to get his life together.

That Chris Paul shove was ridiculous. that could’ve easily ended Paul’s career, leaving him with life long neck/spine issues. Bev got a one game suspension for that shove.

I’ll never understand why the NBA is so soft on punishing their players. Absolutely nobody would bat an eye if Beverley was suspended for a year, or banned. He does nothing for the league.

it's part of the social engineering. the whole league is in some ways a humiliation ritual. historically its always been important from a power perspective for groups of people to not be demoralized. great leaders would give great speeches before a battle to invigorate their troops and it would make an actual difference in the battle. so it's in the interest of billionaires to keep people demoralized. so this is just one part of all the obvious rigging they do which is a part of the greater demoralization efforts (this disgusting guy is allowed to be violent, you're not, haha, be demoralized)

he knows something we don't know if he's willing to stick with him after a story like this comes out. all we can do is wait to see how this unfolds. he could be innocent or the story could be exaggerated
