What do you think of the NBA Cup?

It has a lot of potential as a concept but I think it needs to be revised a bit. Most obvious is I think the groups should be the same as the divisions.

I wouldn't care except for the fact that it keeps being thrown in my face during games and podcasts. So now I wish they'd get rid of it.

Its used to flex on Instagram where you take a huge crew out to dinner and pay for it with the cash prize. Can NBA teams put the NBA Cup win banner in their rafters lol? I honestly don't even know.

The Intercontinental Championship of NBA Championships. It's meant for mid tier teams who peak early and occasionally compete for the Heavyweight crown. The Finals determines the best team at the end of the season, the Cup is for the best team to start.

I basically stop following the season once the NBA Cup is over....it is more important than the actual NBA Championship, maybe even the Super Bowl.
