I would rather have DDV than Lavine, I would rather have Randle than a FRP, and I don’t need Raynaud when I have both Joan and Rocco. I see this trade as a major step backward.

Yeah, you're probably right. I overrate Lavine and don't love Randle long term. And I've given up on Rob. Our starting 5 would be nice though.

LaVine was favorite player out of Towns, Wiggins, LaVine era. But I would avoid his contract at all costs.

Mine too I hope the wolves will welcome him back someday as bench scorer, when he is a lot cheaper (like vet min)

Rob, TJ ,Miller, 2nds for Russ,Saric-(filler),Ellis , 2031 wolves pick back.

Naz,for Herbert Jones, Saddiq Bey

Pick up slowmo or bought out vet center.

DDV/Russ/Conley

Zach seems like a really good dude. And he's super fun to watch on offense.

But I don't think there is a player in the league that scores more meaningless points than LaVine. All his teams do better when he doesn't play.

This trade makes us way worse.

I kind of like this. It puts a ton of pressure on Gobert to rebound, but Ellis and Jones really upgrade our defense.

I think we're back-court heavy though, because I'd want to have Clark or Ellis in the game at all times to give us 48 minutes of relentless POA defense.

And I've always like Bey, but he's the very definition of maddeningly inconsistent.

Dallas moves on from AD, consolidates, and buys into Julius. Gafford and Lively at C. Bulls resign White.

Chi in: AD & RD
Dal in: Julius, DDV, & FRP (VIA CHI)
MN in: Giddey, Vucevic, & Exum

That trade idea was many levels of bad.

Yep. That was a bad one. I'm a former baseball player...I get about 2.5 right out of 10. But I run everything out!

NOP are 2-10. Go get freaking Alvarado. Hell, I'd probably trade Rob for him and then sign a vet big with the $.

For example, Alvarado + Ben Simmons > RD

How does Alvarado differ from Jaylen Clark?

Alvarado can play the point, has more experience, and a better shooter/playmaker.

I finally saw a Randle trade I’d consider, made by a third party.

Randle for Stephon Castle.

I’d expand it to Castle, Olynyk’s expiring and maybe Jordan MacLaughlin if we’d want to send out someone for a roster space.

Wouldya?

I would but considering what that could do to the Western conference I would need more than just Castle. And I'm not sure the pieces you listed would be enough. Randle is averaging insane numbers right now, and might be playing the best basketball of his career. If they're going to trade him, find the right team and he could get a haul. Not a Gobert type of trade, but a very good one

Castle is playing amazing so far, but Randle is playing more amazing. I'll stick with what we got.

The price is too high. I am not convinced Castle will be an all star level player yet. If SAS is so sure, maybe Randle for Fox. Otherwise, it's Naz for Castle. What about JMcD for Castle + picks?

I’m very high on Randle, but Castle intrigues me. He is a fantastic perimeter defender, and is averaging 6.3 RPG, 7.8 APG, and 18.4 PPG. I like players that work on both sides of the floor. His three point shooting needs work. He’s very healthy, and he has only missed one game in his career. I think the best part is that he is only 21, and on rookie scale until 2028. He could be Ant’s permanent back court partner.

I want no part of Fox’s contract, it’s gross. Also Spurs fans are already over Fox hero ball antics.

JMcD is more untouchable than Randle

The real question is, why would San Antonio move him? And by him, I'm referring to Castle. By all accounts he's out playing Fox.
