Grats to Judge on the MVP.

As one writer put it, it’s a sign of bias that the vote was as close as it was.

At least that corny fat ass didn't win it.

Aaron Mattingly can add it to the trophy case.

Shame that bean counter Hal has never and will never do enough to get Judge even one championship.

He could become Aaron Winfield if he simply requested a trade to the Dodgers.

The Yankees are basically the Cleveland Cavaliers before Lebron decided to go to Miami.

Judge won the MVP and I can't really give a sh*t. I mean, I'm glad for him, he's great. Even more glad Dumpster Butt on Seattle didn't win it.
But why get that enthusiastic about it? It's not like the Yankees are going to put a competitive playoff team around Judge. So really, who cares.

Yeah, people used to knock the Yankees for not winning during the Mattingly era, but at least George made an effort to build a competitive team around Don even though he went about it the wrong way. What does this current ownership care whether Judge gets a ring or not?

And individual awards should mean little to nothing to the fans of a sport that takes 26 men to win. Mike Trout has just as many MVP's as Judge, yet the Angels have been the laughing stock of the AL West for well over a decade.

Guess all of our standards have fallen. Hell, we have fans in this thread that celebrate us being in "contention" every year. Which I guess they're going off the Hal Steinbrenner definition where as long as we get into the Wild Card, we might get lucky so that's contention.

For me, it's more of a feeling of "Thank God, we didn't get screwed by this one at least." Cause Judge absolutely deserves it. It's stupid that they tried to make it a contest in the first place.

If the moves aren't made and the money isn't spent this winter to make this a championship roster, Judge needs to ask out.

Outside of HR and RBIs, Judge sh*ts all over Cal in every statistical category. It was never a contest.

If Adam Dunn never finished top 20 in MVP voting why should Cal almost win one?

The baseball writers always have a half cocked agenda. I despise them.

All of these awards should be voted on by players, executives, and coaches.

Always automatically assume we're out of any sweepstakes because ownership are a bunch of pussies.

Pirates said they're not trading him. But yea, I wouldn't be comfortable with the Yankees trading for him, considering the fact that we might get outbid by the Mets, Phillies, Blue Jays, Padres, Dodgers or some other team.

Yep. They'll refuse to include the next Volpe or Andujar (just like they did when the Pirates were looking to move Cole the first time).

I would absolutely do it if the Yankees could manage to get the Pirates to agree to a deal (Skenes is a freak and IMHO the best pitcher in baseball by a good margin). But, yeah it's going to be near impossible. Not only do some of those other teams have (much) better rated minor league system (Dodgers somehow managed to have the best farm system) but even if Skenes wants to go to NY (and there are legit signs he does beyond the "rumor") he's got so many years left of control that I don't think the Pirates or the other team will care that he's a risk not to resign once he hits FA in 2030. He would have to force, force, force his way to NY by raising the stink of the century AND the Yankees will have to be willing to empty the prospect tank for him (which Cashman hasn't shown he's willing to do with his "top prospects").

The whole Cal Raleigh MVP thing is a bunch of crap. Judge clearly was the MVP and the votes shouldn't have even been that close.

The difference is Seattle fans would be celebrating Cal winning the mvp, Yankee fans while happy for Judge aren't celebrating, and Judge knows the deal it's all about the ring as a Yankee.
