So just like clockwork OG is now injured. OG is a good player but he makes 50M a year and at the end of the day is unreliable. Mitch is also unreliable. We are losing virtually nothing by taking a swing at AD. OG+Mitch+Kolek -> AD

But AD is also unreliable. And getting older.

And now fat too. Of course Rob wants him unironically.

To me that should be the Giannis package.....for old broken down AD? F@ck no.

You aren’t being realistic if you think they’re trading Giannis for nothing

As the team is currently constructed probably not

Of course he was also on my theoretical team in the trade scenario and that team has way higher upside

AD would break both his legs covering for KAT’s defense lol

I know what you’re thinking …

Do you actually think because the Knicks won one game without Brunson. He’s now tratable ??!!! lol

Do you really think McBride is a lock at starting at Pg ? lol

Do you really think Shamet “Shamwow” is going to be the new starting sg ? lol

That trade is awful for the Knicks

That’s like ,

Trading Bill Bradley and Clyde for Kareem

And you have Willis Reed = Kat

And no point guard

We should merge all threads into one “He had this rough game, so who can we trade him for?”-thread.

Dante, Brandon Miller, Herb Jones, Steven Adams, Isaiah Stewart and Bobby Portis all match salary wise for a package of Deuce, Yabusele and Dadiet.
Would any of these teams do it and does it make sense for us?

You could get Bobby Portis or Donte for that package but it wouldnt make sense for the Knicks for all 3 to go. Maybe if it was Yabusele and Dadiet for Donte.

These trades are not legal.

1) We can not get higher salaries in trades because we are over the first apron.

2) Also, we can not spend more money because we are hard-capped in the second apron and we have around 150K in apron space.

3) Also, we need to keep 14 players in the roster. To package 3 players to get 1 back, we will need to sign 2 players in ordinary deals with the money left. Rookie min contract is 1,3M (pro rata) and Vet min contract is 2,3M (pro rata).

4) No way we can get Brandon Miller without giving back a lot of good assets (we don't have any). Despite being injury-prone, Brandon has all-star potential.

5) Dante, Herb, and Isaiah are also good players who will demand a lot from us in any deal. A Scrub package will not work.

6) Bobby is awful this season, and Adams is old. Maybe there is a path to get one of them.

You can get your way to contention with a lesser trade.....which I do still think we need but it doesnt have to be some blockbuster either.

The short answer is the Knicks are stuck with this roster that is going nowhere

Haven't heard much on here about Walker Kessler lately. Is he out of reach now?

In a world where Bobby Shantz (one of my first baseball cards) is 100, anything is possible.

I don’t disagree, but McBride may be better than DiVincenzo and Portis.
