If you need someone to carry your offense, I'd go Rose. If you need someone to lift a team scheme with a lot of talent around him and other creators, I'd go Roy.

Roy didn't have an abundance of talent around him in 2009, yet he still led the #1 offense in the NBA.

Healthy Rose was more explosive and faster. Healthy Roy had more versatile offensive moves and was a better shooter.

If it’s about carrying a team’s offense, especially down the stretch in the playoffs in an elimination game, it would be prime Roy for me.

I must have missed Roy's MVP season and his only being held out of the finals by the Heatles twice.

2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I must have missed that for Rose as well.

Do you prefer playoff Jamal Murray or a healthy Ja Morant?

That’s the best comp I can tell new kids

Pick and roll, getting to the rim, getting to the line, volume playmaker, transition scoring.

Both of those guys are point guards. Roy wasn't. Probably more like Ja Morant v Demar DeRozen

Roy leading a top offense with as slow of a pace as he did is it for me.

On court, Roy.

Off court, Roy by a mile.

How are you bringing Demar into a comparison about Roy vs Morant?

Roy was the de facto lead guard in those teams where the PG was Steve Blake.

Roy was more like a rich man's Jalen Suggs than Demar.
