Vikings Lead Up

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Nov 16, 2025 9:26 pm

They are 4-6. McCarthy has been mostly crappy. He's thrown more picks than TD's.

All division games are tough, we have 3 straight.

Hopefully our DB's are ready to catch the ball because JJ will give you a few chances for a pick much like Winston did in the Giants game.

Curious how many of the players hurt today can go next week. There were so many injuries. A loss would be our third home game in a row this year and third loss in a row to Minnesota. We already lost 4 out of the last 5 to Minnesota.

Jefferson has the lowest yards per catch of his career, Hockenson too. That scares the hell out of me. I also envision Thielen coming back from the dead with a big game. McCarthy has been abysmal, can't give up fluke plays.

McMarthy seems to have only one brand of throw - straight-line laser approximately 2-3yards above his target. YET, he has been exceedingly competent in late game against prevent Ds. For Xth week in a row, winning games is hard, and this is not one to **** around.

Really would love to see LVN back. And, Marshawn Lloyd, my word, dude, opportunity is knocking.

This team is bad and JJ McCarthy is really bad. This should be a win.

Agreed about LVN and hopefully Jayden Reed soon. Reed would be very helpful now without Kraft.

Lloyd has his window the problem is he rotates between hamstring and groin injuries. Those reoccurring soft tissue injuries are usually a bad sign for players like him. I really hope I am wrong, especially if Jacobs is out for a significant amount of time.

Shouldn't be any possibility about it, keep him out a week or two if it's needed. He wont be useful if playing on an injured knee and you're just risking the rest of his season by playing him.

I'm more than fine rolling with Wilson as the primary ball carrier with Brooks getting snaps when needed in pass pro. That may force MLF to get more creative and Wilson has looked more explosive than Jacobs all year.

Jacobs would definitely be missed in short yardage and goal to go situations, but I think Wilson is more than capable of carrying the load as the primary back.

I wouldn't be surprised if Brooks out-snaps Wilson. Wilson is pretty bad at pass pro, which doesn't help with the Packers stellar OL.

This is the game you run screens. Minnesota blitzes more than any other team. Running screens and using Brooks will be important.

There's the dilemma. Brooks is the much better blocker, but Wilson the more explosive runner. Both are pretty good receivers.

Lloyd is supposed to be "close" to ready, but this week? That would sure help.

Lloyd hasn't even been through any regular practices yet. When they designate him to return they'll have 3 weeks to activate him. I can't imagine he'd play this week.

With regards to Brooks and Wilson, it really is a dilemma. With our OL having a blocking back is important. But Wilson is a much better runner.
