Mike has always been connected to the Mara family. So this is probably some good information. Sounds as if Mara's health won't let him really preside over the team so Schoen is basically operating as the GM but Mara can't handle that for right now due to health so he didn't want to upheave the entire organization. Sounds like there will be succession plan to Mara (maybe truly finding a president of football operations) while Mara takes a step back to deal with his health issues.

Sounds like Schoen is on very shaky ground and that his future will be dealt with come season end.

Schoen should be fired on Black Monday. I know Mara is sick so I understand why they kept him on for now but hopefully a GM search is happening behind the scenes. This sucks because honestly the last thing Mara needs is to be concerning himself with finding a new GM

All things considered, Jameis has kept the ship steady today versus GB. We could do a lot worse next year with him as QB2 for Dart. Kafka has called a solid game without that pig headed jackass yelling in his ear. The guys are fighting hard. Jameis actually found a use for Hyatt today too

Tracy and Singletary have been balling today too.

Hodgins has been solid. Why did it take us this long to bring him back in the fold?

Jameis has done his job today, that’s for sure. A few near picks but they worked out in the end.

Hyatt needs to be cut, he didn't finish his damn route and it led to the INT.

Good game. I'm not even mad. We know who the dead weight is on this roster.

I don't ever want to see Banks or Hyatt in a Giants uniform again.

Between Neal and those two, Schoen should be dismissed

Probably ideal result. They fought but man some of those draft picks are just brutal.

Roster Hyatt all year over Hodgins is malpractice

It was a very good effort. Better than massive a collapse.

Jameis should have always been the guy before Dart took over.

I'm convinced Deonte Banks and Jalin Hyatt both hate playing football.

He has been the best player on the field in every game including against P4 opponents. Was at the game Saturday where the pass was way overthrown Bell snags the ball 1 handed like a 1st baseman then runs for 10 yards sorrounded by defenders. Was suprised he turned down Michigan in the portal, think Fagnano coming back for a 7th year sure helped, for those that don't know qb Joe Fagnano will be a 6-7th rd to UDFA.

A bit scary of the teams that will be after Mora. Pretty confident he won't leave if it's a rebuild job, why leave UConn as an independent its the ultimate rebuild job and he's done it. Helps that he has gotten the school to raise the NIL it could be a fortunate (hopefully) that he's in his mid 60s, as far as staying. Mora isn't a coach who will win a championship but he could rebuild any college or nfl team.

Jay Glazer, who has a great reporting track record for the Giants, says this about our coaching search:

- Not casting a wide net
- College coaches won't be considered
- McCarthy, Matt Nagy, Art Smith and especially Chris Shula are names to watch

I get some Thibs vibes from McCarthy so I'd go with him.

McCarthy is the pick. We need a steady hand. I wouldn't mind if we retain Kafka as OC. Also keep the OL and ST coaches. Fire everyone else
