Someone have KAT study Joel Embiid tapes. I don't know how that dude flops that much better than KAT and he gets to injure people and get away with it. Meanwhile, KAT gets called for ticky tack fouls all the time.

This game should be extremely telling about how good our bench actually is. Was the last a game a fluke by Shamet and Clarkson? Will they shine again or give us poor to average play? It should be interesting.

I'm more of the mind that Mikal and Deuce need to step up; They're higher in pecking order.

We shouldn't have to depend on Shamet and Clarkson to drop 60 points.

It was absolutely a fluke by Shamet but he is capable of making some shots when left open. Clarkson has always been a bucket his career high is 45 but he can be streaky some nights he’s off. We don’t need huge games just hit your open looks. Towns needs to have another big night although this time the heat will be focused on shutting him down. Mikal is the guy who probably needs to step up more than anyone as he was putrid in the last game. Hart’s always an X factor

Likely that game was a one and done outlier.

Cool to see it happen, but I would expect closer to 10 points than 20 under normal game circumstances. Maybe the injuries change things, however.

He once had this good stretch on the Clippers, so let’s hope he can average 10 ppg for us. He’s not a bad player. Anyway, I still hope we somehow land Westbrook during the season.

Very curious if the heat will be able to slow towns down again like they did in the second half on Friday. Spo is the king of half time adjustments but they weren’t able to to account for a shamet career game. We really need deuce and Mikal to step up offensively. Also can anyone stop Jaquez from getting to the rim? He’s just straight line driving to the rim and no one is staying in front of him.

Mitch / KAT / Bridges / Shamet / Deuce with Yabu, Hart, Clarkson and Kolek off the bench. Run the zone defense and go to man sometimes when they get too comfortable with the zone just to throw them off their rhythm every so often.

Keep playing through KAT and hope that he recognizes the doubles like he did last game. I expect a better defensive game from Mitch this time around as last time he was out of sorts and not at his best.

Over/under on how many stops we can get in a row without OG tonight. Not sure if that’s something you can even gamble on but I’d put it at 3.5 :lol:

refs absolutely officiate reputation more than reality. it's the reason certain players like draymond get away with murder and a guy like Kat never gets the benefit of the doubt. once there is a reputation, it's very hard to change it.

I'm going to guess that the starting lineup will be

McBride
Shamet
Bridges
Towns
Robinson

Hart will play point guard and power forward off the bench. Clarkson will play shooting guard and small forward.

Whatever minutes remain at Center that Towns and Robinson don't play, they will go to Yabusele or Hukporti.

I think one of McBride, Hart, or Bridges will be on the floor running the point at all times. It would be a miracle if Kolek got any minutes.

Spo probably watched tape all weekend. Hopefully we can hit him with something he is not expecting.
